I like the way it looks, more or less. I still like the 'Spider-man' font on the original fat - plus it can play PS2 games.

My big complaint is the top loading disk tray. It makes it really awkward to use and place. I don't like the tray on the Xbox 360 S, but this is far worse.

I am confused to what are you talking about? Or are you kidding?  I can stream something in HD, and in another room something can stream something else in HD and that is even on a wifi 'G.'  My neighbor can stream 3D movies (upwards 14 megabytes a second) just fine - she is also using a 'G.')

But when you can go 'N' to 'N' it's even better - faster responses.  Plus 'N' is already being replaced by 'AC.'

Is there much interference where you are?

I like it. I really like it. It reminds me of the first PSX, and I remember plugging a gameshark gadget (in the back) that would let me play Japanese titles/burned titles. I feel a bit of nostalgia by look at it, and I honestly don't see why people are complaining about its looks. (Remember this is just my opinion, I ask that no one try to change my mind; it's pretty much set) I like to lay my sytems flat with plenty of space all around; laying them vertically makes me feel like it places more of a burden on the lazer and spindel--of the disk drive. I can't prove this, but my system has been abuse quite a lot in these past 5 years and the drive is still going. ^_^

The only thing that worries me is how loud the disk drive sounds. I bought the 320gb slim for the living room and I find the disk seeking is way louder than my original launch version that's in room.

I really like this ps3 new design, but I really hate the disc tray!

Don't hate it. Don't love it. It's fine. I don't really spend any copious amount of time looking at my home consoles anyway.

I have to admit I kinda like how the "superslim" lookes like when it comes to front-bird-view especially the white one! (different shades of white and grey aleays look awesome  btw I know it just looks like it because of the corrugated "texture")


Just look at it!!!  (white looks so much less toyish to me than black)  It just looks AWESOME!


But from all other angles i dont really like it....

Btw  As much as I love the white PS3s...   I HATE how shitty white PS3 controllers look like   The black analogs and buttons totally destroy the look  make em grey like the White 3ds has a grey circle pad!!!

That's so true; one only  looks at it for just a few seconds before focus is turned towards the TV anyways.

To be honest, the new "slim" looks like a cheap Chinese knock off of the PS3. The top of the console and the new disk drive are the culprits. I have to give Sony credit for significantly reducing the consoles size though.

Are you sure what you are streaming is actually at 15mbits.

I'm not saying it won't stream it, it will. But you will be getting frequent stutters on anything wireless, N or otherwise. It could well be that the software you are using to stream is encoding to a lower bitrate on the fly - like that software that is designed to make "any movie" play on the PS3. It does so by decoding then re-encoding at a low bit rate.

I'm just saying that it Wireless N doesn't achieve anything on the PS3 that wireless G doesn't already provide. Unless you are on 3.55 running hacked firmware, which isn't exactly the target audience Sony would want to cater for.

I've done tests all over the place, reception is full bars in Windows etc and properties shoes excellent connection. I've tried numerous routersdongles and so on over the years and it's just too darn slow and too darn unrelaibe imo anyway.
