Hate the top as it be a bitch to clean the dust.

Don't mind the spring loaded top disc drive,however how long does it last before it stops working?

Now this week I updated my phat to 500gb hdd.

When I pulled out the old hdd it was very warm. I am hoping that by moving the hdd underneath the disc drive it wont cause too much heat to transfer and melt and/or damage your discs.

Not a fan of the corrugated top but other than that it is a really sexy machine.

The new PS3 'super slim' model looks cheap and grotesque, it's almost as hideous as the original Xbox. 

It looks OK. I like the original Slim more, though, and think it's one of the more sophisticated looking consoles ever.

I don't really care, if it's uglier or not.

The UC3+Dust 514 bundle is a great deal for me.

Dat PS3 Fat. Best looking console of all time? I think so.

Anyway meh at the new ps3, they could have done a lot better. Lazy work from Sony.

I loved the flash card reader and extra USB ports of the phat model, however having to break the thing apart to get my disc out after it stopped working was not cool.
The slim is working very well, however it has happened on several occasions that our 1 year old can't resist the eject button which immediately aborts any game that was playing without saving. Maybe a top loader is not such a bad idea.

sony after a 3rd redesign why no wireeless N?

like the new design but not the drive simply b/c the older ones and even the wii have auto slot loading

sony should consider a top of the line model though with touch sensitive buttons more usbs and ps2 B/C id buy it

I am seriously surprised at how many people like the original PS3. It's so bulky, excessively shiny, and is a fingerprint magnet. To each his own I guess.

I may bite one of those... looks good and there's plenty of cheap AAA games now.

Anyone knows if the 16GB model can be upgraded with an HDD ?

If so, what kind of drive ? SATA?
