I like using Fox. spaming the blaster on Giga Bowser, and using Fox's Up A (not smash or aerial) really knocks him around for a while.

Hey GGE, are you playing on a Gamecube, or a Wii? If you're using the Wii, then a cheat device is no longer an option. Forced updates have turned my Action Replay disc into a fairly expensive coaster. If you don't have a 'Cube, then you gotta do this the hard way.
I just beat Event 51, god it was hard. Used the JigglyPuff. Took out Giga Bowser relatively quickly then slowly widdled down Mewtwo and Gannon with items as I flew over them back n' forth.
It's really tricky using Jiggly Puff's nightmare attack, it only works rarely, even on Giga Bowser. Everyone makes it sound like its so easy to use but in fact its a problematic strategy.
Everyone makes this game sound so easy, I guess I just don't understand how to play it properly. Bad timing as far as moves go I suppose but since timing seems unpredictable and in the favor of the computer. My Gamecube controller is also pretty worn out, don't know if that is a factor though, probably not by much. The game seems to rely on the player having a great deal of experience in fighting games to develop timing and the cognitive skills required to decide what move to use in a split second.
I also have a cube so action replay will work fine for me. Doesn't look like such cheats will have much of a place in the future of gaming though.

Sold my 'Cube back in September along with a 5inch LCD Screen for $50. I was such a fool. CURSE YOU, FORCED UPDATES!!!
Nintendo was against cheat devices (an strangely enough, game rentals) since the Game Genie was announced. Every cheat device since then has been completely unauthorised. With the newer gen console, Nintendo finally has the ability to lock out unlicensed cheat devices. No more renting a game, cheating, and beating. I rarely used the thing, anyway. Still, every now and then, I want to plow through an old game. I don't have the time I used to. Now I don't even have that option anymore.
cheating sux.. but playing 6 or 8 players ( not sure which..) on melee is just awsome !
debug mode =
Use fox .... just keep hitting him with laser blaster quickly he should continue to block.. then kick his ass.
