But the important thing is you also understand why I am baffled by this. It's not something that's not gonna save them money or anything. I see no benefit to them. I wonder if it's something to do with the structure of the controller I also agree about the pro controller..initial 'reports' said otherwise but later on I have seen several people contradicting it. I'm thinking it will definitely include them. |
I suppose a more defensible argument would be that only a small minority of gamers who play games that make use of analog triggers.
Then again, going back to the Pro... could the lack of analog triggers on the GamePad be a ploy to sell more Pro controllers? Maybe, but that's hard to substantiate. The structure may be an issue, but as I haven't held a GamePad in my hands as of yet, I can only make assumptions. The design is definitely different, and it's much larger than the typical controller. Maybe it's more difficult to reach the trigger, or apply the pressure needed to make proper use of analog control. Or, given the placement of the triggers, Nintendo might not have been able to have such triggers. I can imagine that since in some cases the GamePad seems to be used on the player's lap or table, like a tablet, the triggers could be pressed accidentaly. Since it's been established that analog triggers are more sensitive than digital... there could be a potential issue.
But hey, I'm just throwing out ideas. Like I said, I haven't touched a GamePad, nor do I claim to know it's inner workings.
