Forums - Nintendo - [LULZ] The sun: Will you be picking up a Wii U? Here’s five reasons not to

Oh dear, everyone knows that The Sun has an excellent reputation for printing The Truth.

Yes with the Vita's sales and game line-up I'm sure developers will be lining up to take advantage of it.

And given his apprehension over the cost of the WiiU what about the cost of the next generation PS4 and Xbox720? Not to mention the PS3 launched at $600US

And mobile gaming may take some casual gamers away but core gamers will stick with the consoles and PC.

And how does having Game-pad, Wii controller and Pro controller's result in a lack of multiplayer focus?

And just saying because the WiiU incorporates elements from Wii and DS = fail is just nonsensical and does not reflect how things actually work. The Wii and DS worked not just because of games taking advantage of the system's unique but because of great games like Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart DS.

Plus the Wii came out a year after Xbox360 and outsold it significantly.

The Sun is just a huge load of crap when it comes to gaming (and anything else)

This is the Game of Thrones

Where you either win

or you DIE

Come on it's the Sun, only stupid people would read that paper.

I agree with some of the points in the OP. Anyway, you people shouldn't be laughing off this article...The Sun is the largest and most influential newspaper in the UK.

"£239 on a console? That's a lifetime's supply of iPhone apps."

My new way of life.
One bottle of wine? But that's a 2 month's supply of iPhone apps
A new couch? But that's a 4 lifetime's supply of iPhone apps!

A new brain?? Well heck I can't even count how many lifetime supplies of iphone apps that would be!

The news writer is competely right and I would rather get a lifetime's supply of iPhone Apps and play them on my iPhone. But I won't buy an iPhone because I rather get 3 more lifetime supplies of iPhone apps. Now I have 4 lifetime's supplies of iPhone apps and laugh about you fools, playing Bayonetta 2 on your silly Wii U and not having 4 lifetime's supplies of iPhone apps like I do.

On a serious note, I thought germany's own, BILD, is bad, but at least they try to report something news worthy, but in this article are no news to be found. It's read like an oppinion, which should not be present in a news article. But I guess this is what panic looks like.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Come on.  It's a garbage article.  And the sun is only the largest and most influential newspaper amongst the illiterate.

Well...I can't imagine any Times/Guardian readers being interested in gaming. Lol...
