Forums - Nintendo - Insane idea for Zelda Wii U. You won't know what it is unless you click.

I'm creating a new thread and not posting this on the other one with the rumour since it is a different discussion and that thread is pretty dead now.

It just crossed my mind, if at some point in the upcoming Zelda U instead of having a given ride for you, lets say it is a horse, you had to actually pet a wild horse.

Imagine the very beginning you beat the Forest "dungeon" which by rumours is as big as OoT hyrule field itself, and then you got yourself out in an open field, savannah like, with tall grass waving, and you just stumble across an epic herd of wild horses, running around with great animations and natural behavior. And kickass graphics, because our Wii U is powerful. Dam right. Don't forget an absolute epic soundtrack.

You gotta sneak-in quietly near one of them, and then the action jumps to the gamepad: you gotta feed your chosen horse with berries you can pick up and plant across the land ala pokemon, pet him like in Nintendogs, and if you do a good job, after a good amount of time (like in real life), you can ride that bad boy and it is yours till the end of your journey because horses are loyal and not filthy people like my ex-boss. I'm so totally going to ruin the paintjob on that asshole's shinny 2011 mercedes.

Anyway, you could give him a name and train him to vocal orders through the gamepad microfone, and he would totally obey you. Just like Nintendogs! And there would be areas you mandatorily need a horse and get him to perform actions through mic orders to beat the game.

PLUS: transfer your horse to your 3DS Zelda app, and the more steps you have in your pedometer, the stronger your horse gets and you could gain some other extra stuff, and pet him on the go with the touchscreen of course.

What are you thoughts on this, my fellow Zelda fans ?

I can already see the title -  Legend of Zelda: Bond of Eternity

Of course the horse gets murdered by Ganon in the end, dying a painful death and you get your sweet revenge in the final boss fight so it can trully be the most epic Zelda ever.

The horse should talk and be voiced by Gilbert Gotfried. It could get into high-larious antics like chasing after a female horse wearing a whimsical pink bow, leaving poor Link to walk. It could also get a drug problem and steal your rupies to get a fix. This would make for a fun intervention side quest.

ahaha, lol. dafuq xD

Actually are you people digging the idea ? I personally would spend a tremendous ammount of time peting every creature possible in the game world lol.

If they end up doing something like this, I am going to remember this post and do my very best to kill you telepathically.

don't quit your day job.

this would be the most annoying time consuming thing. People already complained how slow skyward sword was to start with.

If you really want to take care of a pet on a device get a tamagochi.

I am a sad panda now.

I clearly see you guys haven't enjoyed Nintendogs.

Catching a horse is fine and dandy, but petting it like Nintendogs?

No.

I don't want to use the touch pad to do anything other than manage my inventory. The worst part about Zelda SS was the stupid motion controls. I just want OoT controls with better graphics, voice acting, and a bigger more open world to explore. That's all. No gimmicks.

No Nintendogs in my Zelda, but the rest is a sound idea.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

You mean spamming ''A!A!A!A!'' like a maniac every time you face a ennemie? Yeah, that's much better :S
