Forums - Nintendo - WiiU to launch November 11??

As I've said many times, November 11th and 18th are the most likely release dates ...

With that said, I highly doubt that Nintendo would launch with 3 SKUs, unless there was no significant difference between the systems like their color (which wouldn't create a price difference). I could see Nintendo breaking with convention and releasing a basic SKU and a "Family Bundle" to make it an ideal Christmas gift but I wouldn't expect more than that. Essentially, the basic SKU would be a Wii U system, Wiimote+, nunchuck and Wii U tablet and Nintendoland for $299 with the family bundle being the basic bundle plus a second Wiimote+, nunchuck, Wii U tablet and New Super Mario Bros U for $399.

Wii U launching with 3 SKU's:

249.99 | Wii U Console | Gamepad | Maybe not some cables, use the ones in the Wii
299.99 | Wii U Console | Gamepad | All cables | Pro Controller
349.99 | Wii U Console | Gamepad | New Super Mario Bros U | 1 Wii Remote Plus

NOOOOO!! The Pro Controller has to be in the cheapest SKU

cables??? wtf. The only cables it won't have would be HDMI and that may get put in the $349 sku. Basically, there is no way Nintendo will expect people to use cables from Wii.

Base: $249 with Wii U, Gamepad, digital software package including really basic tablet games; like basic board games (othello, chess, checkers, etc).
NintendoLand bundle: $299 with Wii U, Gamepad, same software, NintendoLand, Wiimote+.
BlackOps2 bundle: $349 with Black Wii U, Gamepad, same software, Black Ops2, Pro Controller (special edition), HDD.

That makes the most sense if this information is true. I will likely get the Pro version if the HDD is a good size, otherwise the NintendoLand bundle in black. I'm still betting Nintendoland (if it is always sold separately) will be sold with a wiimote+ for $60.

Man I can't wait for next week.

350 SKU... WiiU + 3DS Xmas pack!!!

Seriously now. I think that's one SKU too many... or maybe... the last one is really a balance board bundle.

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Really good prices if true. Hell, for 250 € I would think about geting one at launch. As for the others, it'd depend on what each bundle has.

My cautious prediction is:

249 $/€ => Console + controller

299 $/€ =>  Console + controller + Nintendo Land

349 $/€ => Console + controller + Nintendo Land + Pro Controller.

Maybe they'll include some Wiipoints (if they continue with them) on the 2 more expensive bundles, but I don't see them bundling a third party game.

Please excuse my bad English.

Former gaming PC: i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Current gaming PC: R5-7600, 32GB RAM 6000MT/s (CL30) and a RX 9060XT 16GB

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Getting only all the cables won't make people go for the real Wii U price. Pro Controller is a hook for the core gamer whom will spend more money on games.

The 349.99 SKU could change between NSMBU or Nintendo Land with 1 or 2 WiiRemotePlus as a Family Pack.

If I had to guess, it looks like an A-bomb test off of bikini atoll.  The event where we get both the phrase "the bomb" and why two piece swimming suits are called Bikinis (because they're the bomb).
