I was just looking at the 2012 Sales Predictions thread, and I noticed that everybody overestimated the vitas 2012 sales. At the moment it's looking like the Vita will just about scrape past 3.5 million units sold in the 2012 calander year according to Charks very accurate Vita 2012 Predicted Sales Chartz thread.

This means that the Vita will sell only 35% of what the VGChartz community expected in the 2012 Callander year given that the average prediction for the Vitas 2012 sales by VGChartz users was 10.12 million units. This isn't just a slight underperformance, this is a MASSIVE flop, and we need to talk about it. Whether the Vita fortunes can be turned around remains to be seen, but if I were Sony I would integrate memory cards with the vita consoles and give it a price cut ASAP.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. This thread isn't about Sony's expectations for the Vitas sales, it's about the VGChartz community's 2012 expectations for the Vitas sales. Oh, and I'm talking about VGChartz' hardware sales numbers, not Sony's shipped numbers, if that's what you mean...?

Yeah, everyone was over on everything, bar maybe the 3DS...but Wii and Vita will be the most overpredicted.

WiiU doesn't count, we didn't know a launch date/ price, which we still don't.

And that's pre-adjustments. We know it's at least 200K, probably 350k to 400k overtracked at the moment. With that adjustment, Charks number should be near 3 million for 2012.
