Oh damn... well, as far as I can see it's only you having this problem... But I can't figure out why =/

maybe they blocked my country :D but if its only me its ok ...

Its got nothing to do with Nostalgia for me. They were better games. The time period doesn't matter.

as long as the game is good I don't care ...

but maybe I would prefer 3D I think because I have more fun exploring the world in 3D then in 2D.

Both.

But I wish they´d put Aonuma in the freezer...both him and Sakamoto, actually.

But why? Aonuma was the director of OoT - right? And that's considered the best game. Ever. Arguably, that would make him the best director. Ever. Arguably of course ;) I for one really, really enjoyed TP and SS, so I see no problem with Aonuma. And Sakamoto... I don't really know who that is =/

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

3D

ok... and why is that?

because we have 3D and it is an advanced technology. And the best Zelda games are 3D.

Like hell. Give me A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening anyday.

I wish Nintendo would make another game like Zelda 2.

Please... i hate this nostalgic bullshit.

Of course they where

Both, but going forward the problematic things that were introduced with the 3D games need to be taken out and should not be put into the 2D games (The Minish Cap adopted linear puzzle dungeons, sword upgrades tied to story progress and doing errands instead of putting in a greater number of dungeons). In other words, new Zelda games need to be built on the foundation of the first and third game, but be grander.

You can't really have one or the other (2D or 3D), because both types offer something that cannot be done in the other.

And what would those problems be? I'm guessing you'll say they're too easy or something like that? Or that it's too linear? The upgrading system in SS was that linear you know. Sure, you couldn't get all the best gear right at the get go, you had to travel to the right places first - which didn't open up until later. But the same could be said about the original Zelda: you had to complete certain dungeons before getting your gear...

Can't we have both? I want both.

2D Zelda isn't going to outsell 3D Zelda any time soon. Different audience from Mario.

Aw, man... I really like The Minish Cap...

Majora's Mask also prioritized a ridiculous amount of sidequests over more dungeons, but you never hear anyone speak ill of that gem.

As for the "errands" in The Minish Cap, they made certain overworld areas feel like dungeons in themselves. I love the design of Caster Wilds, and the Temple of Winds did some things differently that I liked. Linearity doesn't bother me at all in Zelda dungeons.

I have no preferene until Link's Awakening is remade in 3D. Then 3D Zelda wins handily.

3DS Friend Code: 0645 - 5827 - 5788
WayForward Kickstarter is best kickstarter: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1236620800/shantae-half-genie-hero

Both can be great. A question for this: are phantom hourglass and spirit tracks considered 2D or 3D? Because they are in isometric 3D.

Link's Awakening was the shit. There should have been another game in the original series after it. Ever since Ocarina of Time, everything has been based on that.

They already hinted as "New Legend of Zelda" game a la NSMB. This was news about 6 months ago. And yeah, I think an arcade slice'em up will be fucking awesome.

I agree both 3d and 2d options should be kept open (so long as you don't pull that hybrid shit like Other M which fucked up both). But right now, 3d Zelda imo is stale as hell. Can't wait for NLoZ

Before Skyward Sword I would say 2D, but now it is 3D all the way. While the overworld is non-existant, the three areas are dense with a lot of combat and puzzled.

Now interconnect all the areas, add new ones and we have the perfect overworld. For the dungeons, look at A Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time, or just make it more difficul the ones on Twilight Princess.
