Anyone who calls someone a fanboy gets moderated, no matter how many posts they have. If you see them, report them.
So in other words.. mostly those who gets called the fanboy and gets their feelings hurt are the ones who does the reporting?.. i call it as it is, but regardless, from now on, I will respectfully no longer toss the word "fanboy" to a fanboy. lord knows the joy one gets for getting another banned for a day.
That thread is a prediction thread, nothing more. Anyway, you were banned for this post - http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6348689
You said that Microsoft were blowing smoke with re-hashes and sequels then went on to refer to the "crossovers" as "transplants". I mean, come on. The very term "blowing smoke" is insinuating that they are trying to deceive people. The post was trolling Microsoft/Xbox.
How is my insinuation that MS is blowing smoke by announcing rehashes and sequels prior to E3 any different from others insinuation that Sony doesn't have games because they haven't made any announcements prior to E3? It's an opinion.. just because it's my opinion that Halo 1-4 remake and Halo 5 isn't exactly newsworthy or worth popping champange over isn't any different from others opinion ridiculing Sony's numerous indie releases because it's not some AAA title. So are Sony "blowing smoke" to people too because they've remained quiet thus far? As far as the term "crossovers" and "transplants", how is that exactly trolling anyone? Is it not true that many made the jump from X360 to PS4 this gen? And if so, do they understand that Sony brings games and a wider variety of games to the table too, moreso than MS? This comment was made directly to them. Because MS is announcing all these nostalgic titles that they feel they are missing out on and Sony not exactly announcing titles or promoting like MS, it was mainly to quell their fear that Sony won't deliver. The whole thread is about how "Sony is going to lose E3" because of games.. comon now. So, again, how are crossovers and transplants insulting to those that have made the switch? Is that not what they ultimately are, or am i to use a more cordial title? Definition of "transplant - move or transfer (something) to another place or situation, typically with some effort or upheaval (wiki)", Definition of "crossover -a point or place of crossing from one side to the other (wiki)" ; and those are insulting enough for a ban? And lastly, this post was made in a troll thread. Twist it however you want, but if it's a predicition thread with the OP stating his opinion that Sony will not deliver, it is my opinion that MS is blowing smoke and Sony will be just fine. If my post was "trolling MS/Xbox" the whole thread was trolling Sony/Ps4.
Like I stated, it seems mods are frustratingly inconsistent.
See, this is just wrong. If you want proof look at Seece. Seece has been here since 2008, has over 26,000 posts and was just moderated in this very thread. We dont target new users, we just have a more stern approach with them. When someone has less than X00 posts and they are already calling people fanboys or being very anti-whatever company, then we know for a fact that they will go on to cause trouble in the future.
Having over a certain number of posts wont make you invulnerable, it just means we will use a proper progression system when moderating.
So it's wrong, but does it make it not true? Over 26000 posts and can be moderated quite frankly, yet the one who answers back are the ones that get the flak for the rebutal.. and in my case, because I am a "new user". Check my other posts (I don't have much) and see who I answer back to, and tell me the posts I replied to weren't flame or bait worthy. Heck check most of their comments.. nothing but flamebaiting/trolling.. But again.. here we are. I was moderated.. they were not.
It also goes to show that what you guys "know for a fact" are just based on your own individual opinions; and that is something that isn't moderated. Everybody's commenting style is different.. what you guys deem possible "trolling/baiting" could very well not be, but all that is based on what you guys make it out to be. What does it matter if your opinion on a comment isn't the same opinion I or others share of the same comment; you wield the ban hammers.. we don't.
I'm not trying to bash the mods or this forum.. just annoys me that the consistency of abiding the forum rules are somewhat a joke, which mainly consists of tattle-taling and/or a mod's opinion of the matter. I actually enjoy reading much of the discussions that take place here, but there's too much inconsistency with who and how some threads/posters get moderated.
