Not quite meeting my low prediction of 250k WW, but still alright (not great). When was the last time the 3DS had the lowest sales in Japan anyway? And the PSV has a new low week, horrific. But next week it should go up a little...

Wii below 50k again, PS3 dropping, will it drop below 100k? Doubtful...

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

I was disappointed in 3DS's American sales this week. In both Japan and Europe, the week of New Super 2's release, hardware sales were higher than the week of the price cut last year, but not in America by a long shot.

Sales for the 3DS were up 161% over the previous week (in the US), and the NSMB2 sales are higher than the rest of the top 10 combined. Sure, its sales are pretty low...but so is everything else. It's more a reflection on the industry than anything else.

Still disappointed though.

I know. But last year, the 3DS hit 85k in Europe the week of or after the price cut. This year, it hit 81k the week after the XL's launch and 88k the week of NSMB2's release (despite Mario only counting toward two days of sales IIRC). In Japan, the 3DS was over 200k the week of the price cut, and almost 240k the week of the XL and Mario release.

NA also had the XL and Mario release in the same week, and the first day of the week to boot, right? So... why only 75k? Especially when you compare it to Europe...

Like yesterday in Japan. Hatsune Miku. Should provide a Persona-sized boost.

Wow transformers flopped. I'm pretty disappointed in gamers right now. You would think WfC fans would have picked it up.

Not a huge surprise really, there's been absolutely no advertising at all over here, and most stores didn't even stock it.

It was, yes. Just as an aside, though, can we put these topics in the Sales discussion please? Because, well, I checked there and there was nothing, and when this went up there was no posts in the other thread for 7 hours, or 3-4 pages back (I only checked the first 2). Accurate classificaion can help to avoid this issue, you know.
