Forums - Nintendo - OUT NOW! La-Mulana, WiiWare's swan song

About time, La-Mulana, WiiWare's swan song

It is finally going to make its way to the west. Could very well be the last thing I download on my trusty old Wii :*)

Guess which digital title popped up on Nintendo’s website today? Yes, it’s La-Mulana!

EnjoyUp Games, rumored to be publishing La-Mulana in Europe, will be bringing it to the North American Wii Shop Channel. Believe it or not, the game is less than a month away from launch. Nintendo’s site says that it’s coming on September 20 for 1,000 points.

Surely this means that EnjoyUp will also publish La-Mulana in Europe, and it can likely be expected in PAL territories soon.

ANOTHER Swan Song? Seriously, let's look back...

August 14: The Last Story is the Wii's Swan Song!

April 6: Xenoblade is the Wii's Swan Song!

February 13: Rhythm Heaven Fever is the Wii's Swan Song!

November 20: Skyward Sword is the Wii's Swan Song!

I'm starting to suspect people don't know what "Swan Song" means.

I have never really been interested in any wii ware games. The ones I played for free were fun, but I have never really wanted to pay for any of them. I hope this does well when it comes out.

In the end I will say that the wii eshop was a good start for Nintendo, but I WILL EXPECT A LOT MORE ON THE WII U.

Hydroventure, Swords & Soldiers and World of Goo are definately worth looking into.

Indiana Jones reference!!! XD
I migt actually get this game, if I can... -_-

FAST Racing League, Bomberman Blast, LostWinds 1 & 2, and Jett Rocket were good too.

Tis about time. This game was announced for Wiiware years ago

Unless he has edited the tittle ofthe thread, TomaTito said WiiWare's Swan song, not Wii's.

OT: The video doesn't show much of the gameplay, I'll have to see more before I decide if it's worth getting it or not.

Please excuse my bad English.

As JEMC pointed out, I was specifically talking about WiiWare Salnax, but you are right because there is another announced game that still has to release and that is the multiplatform Retro City Rampage (they said summer release, so I guess it would be out by then).

And as lilbroex states, this remake of the 2005 PC game has had an interesting history. Since its announcement back in July 2009 by Nigoro, development delays, the fall out with Nicalis and being picked up by EnjoyUp to finally makes its way to the West. The remake meanwhile has reached us by other means, it was released last month on PC and it included the Hell Temple's DLC.

As requested, another video

^That's a much better video.

I don't know if it reminds me of the late 8-bit games or the early 16-bit ones. But looks fun. I'll have to look for more info.

Has Nintendo said anything yet about how to bring our Wii VC/WiiWare games to WiiU?

The Lost Winds were good (though short, the 3 games I mentioned have each had thrice the playtime that the two Lost Winds have combined for me)
FAST racing league seems good, but I haven't spent much time with it.
I can't stand Bomberman Blast, but it's my first Bomberman game and I suspect it just not my thing rather than Blast being a bad example.

Dr.Mario, Art Style: Light Trax, Pearl Harbor and the Phoenix Wright games are also good, but I had to mention Hydroventure, Swords & Soldiers and World of Goo as they are particular gems IMO.
