Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
| Rainbow Yoshi said: So recently I met this girl through a best mate then we got talking exchanged numbers, and added each-other on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. We talked everyday and it was going so well, she seems really interested in me and then all of a sudden she just randomly ignores me. Did I not make the move, or is she just toying with my emotions? I just don't get it and I'm wondering if I should just text her once more and see if she replies. |
maybe she has a bf

Another basic rule: About everything relationship wise at that age is disposal, outside of maybe your family. Platonic friends, romantic friends, enemies, etc... usually all fade out and go away. At that age to, teens don't understand what is involved and will mess up a lot. It happens. Your goal is to survive until you get to be an adult, and pick up lessons in life in order to function as an adult. This would mean responsibilities, paying the bills, and all the boring stuff your parent(s) have gone through and do go through.
Another rule: People on here are not your friends. They are people who happen to share an interest in videogames you have. I would suggest you try to find individuals that are real friends, and more mature adults, to discuss these things with. You get a grabbag of results on here, not all are wise or right advice. People here really don't know you either, so it would be best to find people who know you offline you can confide in and discuss this.
Anyhow, good luck with everything. Expect to get a bunch more heart broken as you go on in life. It happens. Learning how to roll with it, figures into growing up. And what you see here is not the end of the world either way. Life goes on. It just seems larger than it actually is.

This is actully the best peice of advice someone has offered on this subject. Some people here are your friends though, its just a different type of friendship than in the real world.
I know this goes against this richardhutniks advice, but I think the best solution in this case to ask one of her friends whats going on. Women talk to each other a lot, and you never know she might have told her friends that she likes you but she just waiting for you to make the move. The girl will tell her friends things that shes unwilling to tell you.
"Expect to get a bunch more heart broken as you go on in life".
This is horrible, but its true. It happens to both men and women (not just men), and honestly the best thing you can do is let this situation carry you forward rather than letting it take you down. Learn and adapt. I have this happen to me on more than one occassion, and yeah its really painful. But never let it beat you!!

You touch on why I say the people on here aren't friends. I mean in the sense of having full, real human relationship, rather than filtered and edited for one's enjoyment. It is a matter of getting people who really know you, find out the truth. The internet is WAY too comfortable for people to really connect. All you get is a polished and filtered view with people who may enjoy your posting, who share some interests in games, but with whom you really don't do anything. The internet is too safe of a place to have real friends on, in the normal sense. People are free to think otherwise, but I say it so that people do think of actually getting out there. When you have real friends, you get your heart broken. It goes with the territory. Idea is to expect it and roll with it.
By the way, i don't disagree with the advice to go ask, through the network, offline (or heck using online). I was just suggesting to not get too hung up about it and not to be too desperate. Actually it would be good to actually go and find out.
geez guys.. let's crush rtainbow yoshi's hope... maybe she is at the end of the month and has no more money on her prepaid phone to text Yoshi....
