You should call her :)

Touch her shoulder and then blow softly into her ear before you converse. That will grab her attention and shows that you are a confident, assertive male in control of the situation.

"Me: Hmmm, is there a chance I'm texting you too much?"

That was a large mistake. You should keep texting to short and to the point. Also take twice as long to text her. If she takes 5 min take 10 min to reply. 30 sec take 1 min. So on. Basically you should ask to hang out pretty fast.

Try to make this about her, not you and your ego and if you are doing something wrong.  Feel free to send her a message and ask her if she is ok.  If she still doesn't respond, move on.  And never presume you are really close to anyone just because you feel it.

And people do get busy and whatnot.  It is good to keep busy.  Things do happen.

I'm on my phone. Had a lot of stuff written out, then accidentally hit the "reset button". Can't type it again.

Depending on how long its been since she last texted u (idt u ever told us this), I would've sent one more text asking if she's okay. If she didn't respond then, u have to move on. Continuing to text her will achieve nothing except make u look weak and desperate and push her further away. As a man, u have to have some pride ssometimes. It can help u save face.

Maybe she is just busy? Give her some room even if you are going out no one likes a clingy/obsessive boyfriend/girlfriend. Not that im saying your clingy or anything but sometimes i get that vibe when i have gone out with a girl.
