Yes, the part that got confusing with connection to Soul Calibur, is where he is also a human samurai pirate.  That part perplexed me, particularly since his name has no r's in it.

Yoshimitsu is human. the one from soul calibur is his predecessor which is weird lol.

Yoshimitsu in soul calibur is a human with a wooden body (as there were no aliens then). He speaks Japanese. The yoshimitsu of tekken is a MECHANIZED SPACE NINJA.  He speaks an alien language.

hE SPEAKS gibberish in tekken  that only sounds japanese. Japanese players know this.

i'm going to start Tekken 6 up, just to listen to what he's saying...  I'm going to listen closely, to make sure I wasn't hearing things.

In Street fighter x tekken he still speaks that way no matter what language you pick. Olny Kuma , Ogre , and King also do this.
