If this begins Oct. 25th I doubt they expect people to hold on to the toys for close to 3 weeks before the console actually launches.

That's like handing out an AC adapter with no phone to charge it with; no use.

So I clicked on the source which was just the rumor. So I clicked on the rumor's source and found a forum thread stating a rumor without a source.

As far as I am concerned this rumor is without merit. It could be false just as much as it could be true.

Three weeks is hardly that much time. It's called "marketing and hype". Build up hype for it in the weeks leading up to the system's launch and the system will sell out at launch, then continue selling out continually for months to follow because the hype will only build.

hmmm I think this definitely gives a lot to the idea that WiiU will launch in October rather than November. C'mon September 13th, hurry up!

If they have COD: BLOPS 2 and that's going to be announced at this Sept. 13th event, then they have to launch before Nov. 11th IMO.

No one is going to buy the Wii U version if its even like 1-2 weeks late, it has to be day and date.

Late Oct would also let them launch alongside Assassin's Creed 3. Shame it sounds like the port won't be the greatest.

People bought a fair few copies of CoD3, which wasn't day and date

Launch titles give you extra heat.
