That's not true. I can't remember last time I heard about Microsoft or Intel abusing the legal system. In fact, the only lawsuit I ever remember involving Intel was a couple of years back when AMD accused them of unfair business practices. What apple is doing is blatant abuse of the legal and patent system.

You also called me an apple fanboy. This is my very first Apple device and I've only had it since June 21st. Before that 100% Android.

You also said android is easier to update. All I have to do with my phone is go into settina and choose to update. With samsung you have to hook the phone up to the pc and load up Samsung keis, download the update, then wait for the installation. It also took Samsung till 2.3 to give me 2.2 on my Galaxy S.

I guess you haven't worked or known anyone to work against a microsoft or intel competitor. If they see a technology want they try to buy out the company they want. If the small company doesn't budge they abuse the legal system by stealing the idea anywayas and the small company's can't keep up with the legal fees. (apple does this too).

The thing is these big company's (samsung is a huge company btw) is just a circle jerk of suing eachother while doing business with eachother it's not just apple suing everyone. Here's one of google (android suing apple).

Using this president, Samsung will sue Apple if/when it tries to release a larger phone screen.

While I am not a fan of Apple, the curcumtantial evidence (look at Samsumg phones pre and post iPhone) as well as some internal Samsung documents are a bit over-the-top.

But Apple winning here is like a small company winning in the Eastern District of Texas -- sure to be appealed and modified.

Plus, for the record, Apple is trying to get the courts to stop Samsung products from being sold ... And Google is seeking the same thing against Apple,

Ya this is not over Samsung will appeal. I haft to admit apple has a point with samsung copying its phones. I mean they look and feel so similar.Samsung just gave an Apple chip developer (basically apple) $4bill to make chips for there phones. I just think samsung should settle, there new phones are different now. Samsung cannot settle though there in to deep. Without those innovations in there phones infancy which they stole from apple. Samsungs phones would not be where they are today. I just think this will drag out for years and years. Apple was first and Samsung copied there design its blatant and obvious. Samsung made billions off of this. They will never stop fighting the ruling because it will destroy there mobil phone market. Samsung will fight until they distance themselves from apple with new phone designs.

Well this isn't completely unexpected; Apple = American, Samsung = S.Korean, lawsuit in the heart of Silicon Valley etc.

It really is a load of crap though. Don't get me wrong, Samsung's counter claims were just as ridiculous, but all the doctored photos and bullcrap arguments have already been thrown out of courts elsewhere in the world. This whole thing has been pathetic.

Seems to me Apple saw a company getting a bit too big and bringing out phones/tablets that were truly competitive and popular with consumers then tried to sue to defend their position in the market. Even though they won, I'm beginning to wonder if this hasn't done a bit of damage to their reputation. Apple has thrived with a reputation of being the cool company.... the different, upcoming underdog and not as evil as the other massive corporations. Now they're the large evil corporation trying to stifle the competition through lawsuits.

Tbh, I think the US courts should have sued both companies for wasting the taxpayers time and money... might help with those government debts.

Nintendo still doesn't deserve to lose hundreds of millions of dollars. They're a great company and I love seeing a game company making a system that isn't an exact copy of PlayStation and Xbox.
