It definitely can, especially when you add in the digital sales for NSMB2.



Without maybe 5mil if not very close! With digital, next weeks numbers then it'll be way over 5mil

Holy cow. I have always felt Mario name holds much weight in the gaming industry but it never once crossed my mind its power to compete against the top ten games of another console. Just wow.

Animal Crossing + Kingdom Hearts + Kid Icarus + Dragon Quest Monsters = ~4.55 million.

Not even close! MK7 and SM3DL sold alot by itself and you got AC only released in Japan which is close to half and KH and KIU sold a mil each!

What about all "Mario" games combined - did they outsell the rest of the 3DS library?  They must have.

That's 3 Mario games we're talking about; but it's unlikely. 

Mario isn't the system seller you're making it out to be. Other games, like Animal Crossing, Kingdom Hearts and Resident Evil from 3rd parties have really done rather well...

That's total, but what about just in 2012?

Can't be certain but I'd imagine Mario this year is 10mil, rest of the library at 25mil. Sounds about right.
