Forums - Nintendo - Batman AC: Armored Edition for Wii U: Would You Buy It?

I'll definitely add it to my Wii U collection, but not at launch since I already beat the game on PC. But the game is well worth the retail price for anyone who hasn't played it yet.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

show me where i told anyone not to get the Wii U version

1 "No, i have all the DLC and ive played the game way too much already. Its not worth it for me to spend 60 bucks on a game i already played to use the funky new control features, but if you're an AC virgin then you are in for a treat."

2. Thats good for you, no really, im not being sarcastic.  Game of the year addition costs 40 which has all the DLC(including the Harley one). But the game is so damn good, if you wanna pay sixty for it on Wii u with the extra funk on it, go for it, especially if you're getting Wii U anyway.

3. Well you're gonna be a little steamed because according to Amazon the game will in fact retail for 60. Now IMHO thats too much for a year late port, I dont care what that pad does in the game, especially since that is really the only thing is has over the other versions and they retail for about 20 bucks less(GOTY version). So you can either just buy the PS360 or PC version for cheaper now or if you have your heart set out on the Wii U version wait till the price drops, but for some reason i believer it'll be awhile.

That is some clear disdain for the Wii U version, especially in 3. "extra funk". "retail for 20 bucks less". Yeah. For a person who doesn't care, you certainly seem to be beating the same drum quite a few times.

I say that if people get a game, they should get the overall best version. The WIi U version will be just that.

1. so me not willing to spend hundreds of dollars on a system to play a game I ALREADY own is showing disdain for the WIi U version?? something's wrong with you

2. I just told him to get the WIi U version. Something is def. wrong with you

3 it does retail for 60 bucks on Amazon, GOTY is 40 its cheaper, FACT. If you read the OP he said price was an issue unless he was lying. Extra funk doesnt mean a bad thing by the way, dont know where your from. You should proably remove the tin foil hat.

I'll probably get it later after Mario, CoD, and AC3.

Huh? Whether or not any of those details are fact is completely irrellvent. That wasn't being debated.

Your jumping points, and tin foil hat? Passive argressive backlash much?

Doesn't matter that it has multiple meanings because, extra funk didn't' mean a good thing in the way you implied. Another attempt to fight fact with fallacies. What more could I expect.

None of your words right now are matching your actions throughout this thread.

If you truly didn't care whether or not people got the Wii U version, you wouldn't be in here trying to preach the benefits of the other versions over the WIi U version to them.

YES. I. WANT. IT. Get it for me for Christmas and I'll be your best friend C: Don't forget to buy the Wii U for me too :)) thank you!!

NINTENDO

nintendo forever . . .

@lilbroex, you could read my mind from your PC?? YOu can tell me what I meant when I said extra funk? Okay, paranoia is a hell of a thing. Have fun with that, we're done

Paranoia is an act of fear caused by uncertainty. I am neither uncertain nor scared.

I'm calling a spade a spade. Please, stop these shenanigans. You have not expressed the slightest bit of good intent for Armored Edition since coming to the thread. The rest only takes common sense.

If you want the true "best" version of it buy the PC version for 20 dollars at Costco and buy the doc for 10-15 dollars.I'm guessing that you are not really interested in the best version rather a justification to buy a new system but compensating for a dry launch. If the launch has you that worried you should wait for better games to launch for it.

I wouldn't call the wii u launch "dry" in any sense of the word. On top of that, what makes the PC version the best version?

-controls? well according to GameSpy "it can be played with a mouse and keyboard, but you'd have to be an absolute joker to do so." no, i guess the controls arent the reason for making it the best. In fact the review goes on to state that the game is obviously designed for a controller. On top of that, the Wii U version uses the controller in more ways and incorporates additional features. I guess the Wii U wins that round.

-graphics? well no shit PC wins this round...BUT the wii u version has been optimized to make it the definitive console version and it still looks very nice. For example, the Wii U version features " FXAA anti-aliasing, something that the PS3 version didn’t have". PC wins this round

-framerate? Well according to Eurogamer's E3 performance analysis, the Wii U version tends to run very close to 30fps the majority of the time while the PC version "this silky smooth frame rate is a rarity, as the game is plagued with horrific performance issues" leaving the game looking like "a series of pretty screenshots running in a slideshow." (coming from GameSpy's PC review). The way to fix this is to disable all the features that make the PC version so pretty in the first place

With the added extras in the Wii U version added on to this, seems to me like the Wii U version is the best version yet

Don't forget that the devs said they are aiming gfor 60 FPS. There are also graphical improvement(geomtry and object) that are not in the PC version. The only thing the PC version has is higher res support.

Though, if 1080p 60 FPS is not enough for people then I don't know what else to say.
