What I'm really wondering is why Activision isn't saying anything about it. Ubisoft is giving information on their Wii U lineup, but almost no other developers are saying a single word. Why? Do they not care?

I have a hard time believing Nintendo is keeping all developers under wraps for some "huge reveal" coming soon, because Ubisoft appears to be giving all the information it wants to.

Black Ops 2 is the Wii U's worst kept secret.

I'm guessing they're going to announce it for the Wii U's fall conference, but at this point... everyone knows it's coming anyways.

When is this conference anyway you think?

I'm taking a guess at September 17th, only because Nintendo always makes us wait for everything.

It's more of why do we have some much info leaked about it being on the Wii U....

But no offical annoucement?

It would make more sense if it were coming to the Wii U.
But I'm happy it's coming to a Nintendo console, because I really liked Goldeneye and it sold the best on a Nintendo console.


If that happens then I will skip Black Ops. Call of Duty can't  compare to its father

I'm guessing mid-September myself, but remember that we're right on line for a new Nintendo Direct as well.

So we have a very good chance of having a ND announcement... this week actually. Maybe it'll fall on my birthday (August 24th).

Sounds reasonable.

COD is such a universally popular game and can easily be picked up even if you're just casually interested in "HD" games (especially from a sparse launch lineup for a newly released console). That's why I think Blops 2 on Wii U will be very important in causing a positive spiral and attracting hardcore gamers and third party publishers.
