I finished the game in a good 22 hours and had finished most of the sidequests. If the game was supposed to be underwhelming, then yes, it succeeded.

I say anyone who has played some of the best JRPGs in existence will be disappointed, unless they are very forgiving in general. This game is not good.

You are known not to be a fan of many JRPGs that others like, still; I can't quote you, but I believe you said the best way to experience FF6 was to listen to the soundtrack on Youtube.

You cannot blame people for taking what you say with a grain of salt, though lilbroex's digressions are disconcerting

Update: yeah, there's definitely something going wrong with this game's shipment. I had it preordered, and they still haven't gotten any shipment at all in my gamestop, with release day today. They said "check back tomorrow..."

Game Informer came down pretty hard on this game, too. Maybe that asshole was right. Still, it's a shame that he's ruined his reputation to the point where, even if he's telling the truth, nobody can trust him anymore.
