I wish The Last Story was higher, but I can't say I was expecting much better.

Seems like COD will crush Halo once again (like it did with Reach and CE Anniversariy).

I truly believe Halo is on the decline. Not just on a decline but a significant decline that will be discussed on forums and gaming sites for years ahead (we'll see article head-lines such as "Is Halo still relevant?"). No Halo game will sell 10 million ever again.

Everyone and their friend plays COD, that's the hard truth. The only game series that can affect COD's popularity to some (little) extent is Battlefield, as some COD kids mature and start to migrate to the more advanced military shooter. But Halo doesn't have that advantage and is increasingly seen as slightly old-fashioned (the Quake and Doom phenomenon).

What surprises me, and even saddens me a little is how incredibly badly MoH Warfighter is doing in pre-orders.

And Darksiders II - please sell more!! Be the surprise hit of 2012.

Black Ops 2 has pretty much caught up with Halo 4! and might to be catching up with MW3 in the same time from launch after lagging behind for weeks now.

New Super Mario Brothers 2 is disappointing... Two weeks from launch and only 50k!!! at this rate it might not even make it to 100k FW, even lower than NSMB DS. I hope 3DS XL helps things...

it has almost double the preorders reach had. maybe it has a decline to halo 3 but that was with the previous releases, i don't really see a continuing decline. sure it won't sell very good over the long run because of nextbox but still, i don't see where you see a decline from reach to halo 4 at this moment and anniversary shouldn't even be mentioned, same with odst. even i as big halo fan didn't buy anniversary and that's not because of cod.

the only possibility i see is that halo 4 won't get very good reviews which could always happen, magazines still don't know a lot about singleplayer and such things. but if it will get very good reviews i don't believe it will sell worse than reach (maybe in the second year because of the next console)

so yes, halo had maybe a decline because of the cod success (but i think that's even a problem for games not in the same genre) and i also believe that cod would sell more without halo so you could say the same vice versa just not as big but i don't believe halo is on a decline atm compared to few years ago as long as they don't fuck the game up.

Decline? Halo 4 preorders are tracking ahead of Halo Reach.

I love how Luigi's Mansion is 11th 6 months before release. Very unusual for a handheld, but shows how muh love this series has!

so sad how sleeping dogs didn't even make the list. And it comes out tomorrow. guess us gamers deserve the same IP sequels over and over again and want Activision to be right that this game wasn't gonna sale.. gamers are pathetic we deserve no new original IP's and want a COD every year

Sleeping Dogs is not a new IP though ;o.

actually it is.. in first development it was called black lotus and starred a female character.. then somehow united front games got it and it was backed by activision for a bit and title changed to true crime hong kong to try and cash in the franchise if u will. then activision dropped it and square enix bought it and renamed it to sleeping dogs.. hows it not a new ip?? its not true crime anymore that belongs to cheapovision, it wasnt originally a true crime in the sense back in early development until activision decided they wanted to publish the game requesting a title change in this case true crime blah blah.

Oh I hadn't heard about this black lotus story. Looks a lot like True Crime though

yep and ya im sure once activision backed it up for a bit the devs took some true crime mechanics to u know blend it in so it looks like a true crime game and fits with the series.

Can BO2 PS3 top Halo 4?

How much do you reckon Sleeping Dogs will do in first week sales?
