Everyone and their friend plays COD, that's the hard truth. The only game series that can affect COD's popularity to some (little) extent is Battlefield, as some COD kids mature and start to migrate to the more advanced military shooter. But Halo doesn't have that advantage and is increasingly seen as slightly old-fashioned (the Quake and Doom phenomenon).

What surprises me, and even saddens me a little is how incredibly badly MoH Warfighter is doing in pre-orders.

And Darksiders II - please sell more!! Be the surprise hit of 2012.

I think you're being a little pessimistic. COD may be bigger but Halo is still huge. MS should probably rethink the yearly releases though.

I pre-ordered it for my friend for his birthday. :P He really wanted it, but his gaming budget was really tight, so I did both him and the game a solid.

Front page, Copy & Pasted. The thing is that I couldn't see the real numbers on the front page after 20 (it just says -pro-) but then when I pasted onto the thread all the numbers showed up! Isn't this cool, guys? It's cool, right? Guys?
