My preferred platform is the Xbox 360. I can hardly think of any flaws, but i'll make some up for the sake of having some content in the OP...

1.) You have to pay for Xbox live. (this doesnt actually effect me though because my mum pays it...) lulz

2.) It can't play blu-rays. (sometime in the near future im gonna have to buy a blu-ray player, so it would be handier if i had a console and a blu-ray player all in one)

3.) The hardware is ancient

Sony couldn't advertise to save their lives

general Download/load speed for the ps3 could be a bit faster

PS3;

1. Only 150mb of cloud storage, when some saves are like 8mb.
2. Some games have to load trophies every time you turn them on.
3. mandatory installs of some games.
4. The XMB takes ages to load while in-game.

Only small annoyances, but things that I think could have been avoided, also, good idea for a thread.

1] Doesn't play StarCraft 2 (nor recognizes my mouse in its ports)
2] Communities online are not as vocal as they used to be
3] It's success has extended it s lifetime one year too much _
4] gaining ground vs the competition by dragging this gen is not consumer friendly and gives false hopes to PC devs

Biggest thing is that I can't listen to my music while I'm playing a game on PS3

Some games can but yes, you are right on the whole.

Not a fan of mandatory installs, though it doesn't bug me too much, as it's a one-time install then I just delete it when I'm done.

I hate that it's not backwards compatible. what was once the best in backwards compatibility is now the worst (used to play ALL PS1 and PS2 games vs the Wii's only playing gamecube and the 360's only playing some Xbox, now it barely plays PS1 games)

Another 360 guy here.

- RRoD. First Xbox died, but I guess this is not an issue anymore.

- Controllers rarely comes in perfect quality. My first one had a poor D-pad which required a lot of efforts just to press 'up'. My second controller had a poor RB button which required more pressure than usual to register, and the A, X and Y buttons got worn out very early; the A button barely registered at all after less than a year. My current controller had/has poor sticks that from the very start required more pressure (sounds familiar?) than usual. And now, probably since my current one has lasted far longer than the previous two, the sticks barely ever go back to the middle when I let go of them, so it has to be done manually.

Note: I HAVE HAD NONE OF THESE STICK-RELATED ISSUES WITH MY NINE YEAR OLD GAMECUBE CONROLLER.

- Have to pay for online. Obvious choice.

Video playback on vita is limited without converting

XMB takes too long to load during gameplay, Friends List could be better. Multiplatform games can sometimes have problems like Dragon Age Origins.
