Forums - Nintendo - Tekken Producer Says People Are Focussing Too Much On Wii U Specs

i dont own it, cause im not a fan of that version for reasons i already posted. Im not gonna spend money on a game i dont really care for, its not like i havent played it for myself.  Another reason, i already gave Capcom too much money for that game, bought the original bought SSF4 i even got the Arcade expansion. I think ive supported it enough

That's not what I meant. I wasn't saying you didn't support the game *facepalm*

I was saying you can't judge the difficulty of playing against a touchpanel player online if you haven't had a good amount of time with it to see the challenge and to push through.

@your last comment. I may or may not get this game, all depending, but in the end we're on a sales site so this doesn't matter. I just want WiiU to have it for Nintendo's overall strategy.

its not about difficulty, Ive been playing fighting games long enough to know what i like and what i dont like. I dont like spammers period, the same people who do the moves over and over and over again. It annoys me in any fighting game, now the 3ds just gives those same guys a tool that makes it even EASIER for them to do those annoying tactics. You find it challenging, I find it annoying and boring. I rather play against people who actually know what they are doing.

From a personal perspective it really makes no difference to me whether TTT2 goes on WIi U or not, as long as it comes to at least one of the systems I already own. BUT it is good that it is, because I do believe in a multiplat world

@bold. Different folks for different folks then. I like both, you like one. Good stuff, we've just attained anew level of knowledge, we should pat each other on the back.

You last para is contradictory. On one hand you say "all that matters is if it comes out on one of the systems I already own" and then you say basically, "regarless it is a good thing, because I believe in a multiplat world".

That's why guys like you confuse me.

not really confusing at all. These are video games, in the end it doenst really affect my life in the slightest if one game goes to one system or what have you. I'll still eat and sleep at night. But it would be NICE if these games are there for as much people to enjoy as possible, in the end it would be good for all but im not going to cry (something ive seen some people on forums do) if it doesnt happen.

If they cry it's not because the game didn't come out for consoles they don't own...

You said  "all that matters is if it comes out on one of the systems I already own", well the people that "cry" about it are in the same value-set as you.

That's why I have a hard time understanding you. Because on the one hand you say that all that matters to you is that it comes out on a console you own, and on the other you critique those who "cry" over the fact that it doesn't come out on a console they own.

So you lose me in many ways. Maybe I'm just stupid, hey it's a possibility. But I've seen alot of double-standars on this forum and this just feels like another one.

Lol never seen a tekken thread get this many pages on vgchartz.

Yea, and all the Darksiders 2 threads that mentioned the Wii U all get more posts than my hype thread for the game lol.

Lol the hardware effect.

All it means is ive been playing that game for a while. Pretty much since day 1. and there are people who are better than me, quite a few i imagine.

I never played the game online on 3ds, there was no way for me to do it(being a demo and all)

Okay, but spamming doesn't mean a game is broken for everyone. For me, it's not a big deal because 50% are spammers and when I do fall on a spammer it's a challenge.

I can tell you, because SFIV 3D is the first game I bought for my 3DS. And yes I did play SFIV when it came out for arcade many years ago. I love the game.

 hate spammers as well?

where just gonna have to agree to disagree.

hate spammers as well?

oh yeah

You hate spammers on tekken? Its not really annoying in comparison to a mvc spammer or street fighter.

i was talking SF, but i hate spammers in general, but you're right there nowhere near as bad as SF or the VS. games

Ohhh ok gotcha

Most pros use custom built sticks with arcade parts. They use them because with them they can input commands faster and more accurately.

Due to Microsoft's policy with peripherals this is easier to do on the PS3, so the PS3 is the console of choice in fighting game tournaments. If the Wii U version is the superior one, there are a good amount of arcade sticks available, customizing them is easiy done, etc, this can change.

They always avoid wireless controllers because of lag (not only Wii U's tablet).

@Zero: Pros are important because they know the game better than you and me, they can find broken stuff easier (and devs can fix the game later).

@Mad: Playing a game since Tekken 1 doesn't make you a pro. But if you think you are, I'd like to hear your opinion on Brian Fury's b+1 or Nina's SS+1~B in Tekken 5 (PS2), for example.

And yes, most of the sales are made by intermediate players.

I didn't say playing it since I made me a pro just that i am. I also don't play with either Bryan or Nina. I main Hworang, Steve, ad Asuka.

Anybody would notice something just by looking at the properties of those moves, but whatever.

I guess you wouldn't have a problem in telling us which are Asuka's fastest moves in Tekken 5? (yes, she does have more than one)

He's basically saying he doesn't like the technical characters.

Lol oh gosh.

Nice evasive move. Now the question is if I should let you escape without posting a proper answer...

Kinda funny if he thinks their not technical or most of the roster for that matter.

Kinda funny if he thinks their not technical or most of the roter for that matter.

And you keep avoiding my question...
