Forums - Nintendo - Tekken Producer Says People Are Focussing Too Much On Wii U Specs

they both have touch screens on them, I know in SSF4 for 3ds you can pratically just spam the the touchscreen special moves without doing any of the actual work. If your a fighting game enthusiast, thats a no-no especailly if you plan on playing online alot(which i do). However if Capcom and Namco make it so you can set up rules that do not allow the use of  touchscreens then ok.

Nat really tho. I actually like playing against the spammers because it gives me that extra challenge. And for true enthusiasts spam shouldn't cause them to lose, honestly. I've seen some players on youtube and the spammers wouldn't last a second against them.

On the contrary the spam is a good challenge for decent players trying to better themselves.

But I do agree that the option should be there to play with players who don't use the touchpad in online matches.

I disagree, I actually like playing against people who know what the hell they are doing and the fact that there isnt even an option to not play against them for now, ensures that I'll probably never support a fighter on 3ds or Wii U. Until they fix it.

Yeah...spread out across a controller that was larger than the Game Gear. ( Which I might add was a brick)Platformers are fine for it and possibly even a shooter or two fine, but Fighters? F no. This is why you have the pro controller.

wfh are you talking about? Don't you know that people play with arcade sticks at home which are fraggin huge.

And anyways, the WiiU pad is large, but very lightweight. As such you can't feel the length really, and you probs get used to it in a sec. If it had the circle pads it would be no contest for me.

LOL an arcade stick consists of a fully responsive arcade grade stick and six button. You don't hold it, you just press it and if you can master it (Which isnt easy) you can enter commands faster than a normal controller.  Its a similar argument to PC elitsts using a mouse vs a controller for FPS. Your response times wont be as fast with a wide controller. You're too sensitive, I like the Wii U but its layout isnt perfect for all games and it wasn't designed to be obviously. This is why they created the pro controller for more competitive play.

As I said, I agree with the option to remove it, because you don't want to play against spammers, while I do. Plus, the higher your points, the greater the odds of playing against non-spammers.

So by the time you're good enough to deflect spam, you're playing against the big-boys. Now, you may not be playing on the same level as them since you're now an anti-spammer, you're still much better than had you ran into them off the bat.

I am too sensitive, but the WiiU pro controller existing doesn't contradict the fact that the Upad itself works perfectly fine for fighters despite looking non-traditional.

I have no idea what the pro controller sports that the uPad doesn't, so that goes to show that there really isn't much more of a diff than aesthetics. For some reason you come across to me as a guy who cares about aesthetics more than ergonomics

What's that supposed to mean? There are alot of players who aren't as good as you.

True some new players may be like "screw it" after getting cheaped like mad, but others like me enjoy the challenge of humiliating a move spammer.

Out of curiosity, what was your performance against 3DS spammers?

All it means is ive been playing that game for a while. Pretty much since day 1. and there are people who are better than me, quite a few i imagine.

I never played the game online on 3ds, there was no way for me to do it(being a demo and all)

lol Come on Happy...let me whip your ass in Tekken. PS3 or 360 version. Im sure you have a primary console version as well before you use the DS. :)

Haha :) I suck at Tekken but I'm okay at Street Fighter. Wanna play me at that? The only guy I know how to play is Jin and even there I suck with him :)

I stopped playing Street Fighter after 4. I refuse to be ripped off by Capcom any longer. I bought four and then they came out with Super for everyone who waited for twenty dollars less and more characters. MVC 3 might be quite a deal though.

?? They did the exact same thing with Mvs.C3 the exact same, I dont see how your ok with that, but not ok with SF4

I can understand your confusion with me saying this, but MVC3 is a game ive long neglected and I actually waited, knowing Capcom would screw the initial buyers. In the newer version of the game I dont need to download all the extra DLC people forked out money for. Basically my point is I will always buy a capcom game late from now on.

Okay, but spamming doesn't mean a game is broken for everyone. For me, it's not a big deal because 50% are spammers and when I do fall on a spammer it's a challenge.

I can tell you, because SFIV 3D is the first game I bought for my 3DS. And yes I did play SFIV when it came out for arcade many years ago. I love the game.
