I currently have an Xbox 360. For me to switch my console to PS3 halo would have to be released on multiple platforms because it is my favourite franchise, and one of the main reasons I'm a gamer. If PS3 had Halo then I would switch to it becuase, Halo aside, I actually prefer the PS3 because it can play Blu-Rays.

HD console gamers - what would it take for you to switch to the opposing console?

Free online gameplay would be a good start, after which I might actually consider getting an Xbox.

Halo is my favorite franchise too. I consider my 360 a Halo box and I don't even play multiplayer much. I love Halo for it's outstanding single player campaigns.

But, why would I have to switch? Why can't I have all the consoles? If I already paid for one why would I have to dump it for another. Why wouldn't I just save some money and buy a used console so I can have and enjoy both or all?

Free online, my 'online friends' going to the console and some sort of money incentive i guess. Even if that happened it still wouldn't give me a reason to switch.

i bought a 360 a few yrs ago b/c of the new design and b/c CODs and other 3rd party games look like crap on ps3 compared to the 360 and PC

i dont like many exclusives on both platforms and will still probably buy the next PS before i buy the MS console next gen but if the mainline metal gear solid series goes multi that could be a factor of going MS only for next gen

Yeah Halo and Gears of War needs to be a PS3 exclusive and PSN has to get to XBL level of quality.
Of course PS3 needs to get rid of the controller. I sold my PS1, because I did not like the controller at all, 15 years later same shit different platform.

i honestly would have had an xbox or get an xbox later on when the price gets low if free online play was on the xbox. paying to play is a complete rip off, its like paying IBM to use the internet on my lenovo laptop. its a joke... honestly PS3 has way to many factors in its favor for me to swtich. the exlusives, UI, free online, i dont know about the xbox but i use my PS3 to watch movies and shows on it its pretty easy just attach a USB and your ready to go, also where i live everybody has a ps3 so used games are much easier to find. plus God of War, uncharted, killzone and quantic dream games are just to hard to give up! plus i tend to feel microsoft just wants to ripp off there customers, honestly they dont seem to care about quality at all, that doesnt go for just games but hardware as well. 

Nothing as I generally own consoles from all 3, if I had to pick only one platform I'd probably stick with the Xbox though.

worthwhile games, blu-ray, games that can reach the graphical level of the Uncharted series while retaining fluid animation, and free online.
