Forums - Nintendo - Smash Brothers: What am I getting myself into?

Melee has loads of advanced techniques that are really hard to grasp. This video covers them pretty well.

(no, it's not a rickroll this time ^^ )

Oh great more evidence that I'm gonna get my arse whiped when playing online.  I havent played Smash Bros since it came out on N64 after a mate said try this its fun, many hours later and I was forced to put the game down and heartily agree with him.

I'm gonna have to get some serious practice in and yet no matter what I do I don't think it will be enough.

If you're playing this game by yourself, then I wouldn't reccommend it even with the online option. The real fun in this game comes from the interaction between the people sitting in front of the screen in the same room. I honestly can say I've never played a better multiplayer title than the original Brawl (sorry goldeneye).

^^The original Brawl isn't out yet XD

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I agree...even if you know the people you're playing against, I wouldn't reccommend buying the game unless you play it with friends in person.  That's where the fun is at.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

the series has a deep gameplay
it isnt a button masher and i think its better that it has the % thing
the online will be a great feature for this game when you play it alone, remember they also said that they would make the single player much better so i think that will also help you out,and so i reccomend it even if you will be playing alone

It's a lot of fun with friends, that's for sure. You have to do some thinking as to what to do with utilizing your surroundings and such.

I did forget about all the new single player game modes though...that'd definitely be worth a buy even without friends.

Are friends going to be included in a bundle with SSBB or do you have to get those separately?

There will be a bundle available for $10 extra...unfortunately then people will say "It's the friends selling the game, it's worthless!"
