Forums - Sales - USA Pre-Order Chart -- 21st July 2012

Halo 4 seems to have dropped a bit too much, but besides that it seems clear that Halo, COD and AC will be the big players this holiday.

KH3D looks like a 250k opening for the americas, nice. 250 + 300 japan + 200 europe = million seller by this holiday season. =D

I can see CoD doing about the same as MW3, probably will not break records this time. Halo 3 broke a lot of records too, so I am not sure what to think Halo 4 will do.

NSMB is doing Fantastic it will be the best selling 3DS game ever and quickly

The XL however is moving a bit slower than I though in terms of preorders though but thats not to say actual sales will be lackluster, I just think most consumers have zero idea its coming

could you tell us if in gamestop halo 4 is indeed tracking ahead of halo reach in preorders?

MS really needs to step up. Token special edition consoles and lame live action trailers will only get you so far.

They need to show a proper cinematic trailer with new footage and things Halo fans have never seen before, wether it shows off gameplay, weaponary or graphics. Activition have showed some jaw dropping footage of Blops II and they haven't even showed much multiplayer yet. Something like Halo 4 needs big reveals and updates for months leading up to its launch.

Friends who work in the cinema have said Blops II trailers are being linked with every major action movie release from TDR to Expendbales II, yet they have no word from MS. MS releasing Halo 4 in the same window as Blops II was a real gutsy move, but judging by the quality of their promotion, it seems rather dumb now.

These pre-order number seem off.

i think few games can match the marketing power of COD
