I wanna know some theories.  Yeah, it's pretty much a given that Bruce Wayne didn't die at the end of the movie but HOW!?  So he fixed the auto-pilot.  I can fix the cruise control in my car but that doesn't help me nail Catwoman if I'm IN THE VEHICLE when it explodes.  Here are my theories:

Theory #1:  He didn't have permission:  Earlier in the movie, Bane says "When Gotham is in ashes, you have my permission to die."  Well, since Gotham was never in ashes, Batman couldn't die.  Even though he was dead, you obey Bane or pay the price.

Theory #2:  Look up in the sky!!:  There isn't actually going to be a Superman movie next year.  Nolan is so damn sneaky that he faked The Man of Steel just to get Superman in our heads.  The trailer is actually part of the movie and Superman pulled Batman out of that explosion.

Theory #3:  The Indoctrination Theory:  Seeing Ra's Al Ghul in prison was just showing that Bruce was being indoctrinated.  He never escaped from that prison.  Everything that happened after Bane broke his back was just a dream.  That's why the guys Bane paid to keep Bruce Wayne alive actually healed his broken back with magic rope.  That's why none of that made any sense.

Theory #4:  "I'm Batman.":  He's Batman.

Theory #5:  Sweet Dreams are made of these:  I don't think they should have actually showed Batman.  I think they should have given us the clues about the auto-pilot and the missing items but they should have ended the movie with Alfred looking across the cafe and smiling.  But maybe it was a dream.

Sorry for making yet another Batman spoiler thread but I'm powerless.  I love that movie.  So, what's your theory?  If you have a logical explanation, I'd love to hear that, too.

I shouldn't have read beyond the title but I thought that just meant the thread had spoilers. >_ <

Hopefully I'll forget.

Magic! Though it would make sense if he escaped shortly after he blew up that building. Them showing him in the cock pit before the explosion was to confuse viewers.

So like you said he fixed the autopilot.

While he was over the ocean, he jumped out. Unfortunately the cold water was full of robot sharks. Good thing Robin came to rescue him in the Batcopter.

While trying to escape though a shark attacked him.

But Batman was ok since robin threw down the anti-shark spray in a can.

And they flew the Bat out of there!

Dude, as soon as I saw the first pic in your post, I laughed so hard that saliva shot out of my mouth and hit my monitor.  Thank you for that!

I've been saying this since I saw the movie! I've wished very much that they never showed Bruce's face. After Alfred smiles cut it to black screen instantly. End of movie.

The movie itself wasn't all that great anyways but this at least could have made it much better, in my opinion.

It was all a dream. The entire Batman trilogy was a dream by Alfred who is the older version of Leonardo Dicaprio and will star in Inception 2. The ending sequence never happened. Batman never happened.

Your very welcome. Batman: The Movie is the Bomb.

Best Crime fight Duo ever!

There was plenty of opportunity for him to exit shortly after lift off. And he is Batman after all, with all those wonderful toys.

inception, it was a dream, Alfred was dreaming when he saw him alive

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
