19 is actually a great age to do so in retrospect.

A sex worker may be an option. You pay sex worker and maybe you gain more confidence from that experience.
25, 30 or even 40 year old virgin sounds a lot more weird than a 19 year old virgin male. 

Some unattractive guys have no other option to pay for sex workers. There are usually more males than females of breeding age and competition between males can be fierce and intense trying to impress females. 

You and the OP are both from the UK. I'd say 95% of British people lose their virginity before 20.
