How would a child talk when she was born into an apocalyptic world and the only words that she has heard are the one that foul mouthed adults speak? I love the language in this game it makes it more realistic and it adds to the chaotic environment.
The acting is top notch, dare I even say it surpasses Uncharted?! I genuinely enjoyed this video and I can tell that I will be very invested in the characters. Day 1 purchase for me.
Ellie is shaping up to be a pretty likable character. She looks like the kind of girls who puts up a tough front but is still vulnerable and from the gameplay at E3, she looks like she will be useful and not a drag. I can only assume that joel and her will develop a father-daughter connection...unless they need to repopulate at the end o_o

You guys dont get what i mean. I have no doubt that The Last of Us will be awesome but the game is in danger to dissapoint some of you because of overhype. Its only a cut scene what we saw there ( a very well done cut scene of course).But it hasnt blown me away in the way the gameplay from e3 have. ( Maybe because actual gameplay always impresse me more than some cut scenes)
So calm down guys i am on your side.
An interactive movie needs at least an interesting story and lovable characters. This story presentation and acting is on the level of The Walking Dead TV-series, which I admit is impressive coming from a game developer, but it's sadly also more pretentious and without lovable characters. I hate that kid already and I dislike the man too and I feel no connection whatsoever.
Now Rockstar and John Marston on the other hand...
It's almost comical to see gamers go wild over a clip that looks like a regular TV-show.
