That's a good point. I would get a free month of plus too if I did that. The only thing is...I don't think Ico looks very fun. Does anyone know if Jurassic park is any good?

I don't know about Jurassic Park but you are right that Ico isn't fun. It's one of the most overrated games in history in my opinion. It was bland and boring and not very emotional and not in the least touching. Perhaps if you are a very pretentious person you would like it but not else.

I'm (apparently) a very pretentious person that liked it, even more than SotC :)

In hindsight I see that my post was a bit extreme.

Maybe it reveals my own insuff... what's the word, my own insecurites?

Is SotC good though. I played a little bit of it what...maybe 6 years ago lol and I can't much remember.


Its one of the greatest games ever made and influences titles today. The game tells a story through the trials and tribulations you go through. That, its almost as if the story is painted through the gameplay rather than outright stated. is a true rarity in storytelling. Ico is great in its own right, if you like challenging games with vast worlds ICO/SOTC is definitely a must.

I want to correct what I wrote. I kind of meant (thought) that often people who really admire and praise ICO/SotC have a pretentious aura in that context. To just "like" ICO/SotC does not necessarily mean you are a pretentious person, obviously.

(and maybe I'm pretentious myself then because Tha Last Guardian is my most anticipated game)

Fair enough. BTW i'm not even a fan of these games it's just the comment suprised me. When someone describes a person as prententious I see it as an insult. Maybe prententious is too strong a word in this case.

"Keep digging" is what my wife would say.
Ico is my 3rd best game of all time. One of the few games that bring tears to my eyes when the credits roll, even at the 3rd playthrough.
I guess if you go into it expecting high art, whatever that may be, it might be a bit disappointing.

Anyway after giving both Ico and Sotc a perfect 10 I am a little afraid I'm expecting too much of TLG. The long delays are probably for the better.

I might get Festival of Blood did not really like the first one, but for 6,99 it is not that much of a risk. Is this available in Europe too?
