Forums - Gaming - What was your favorite or most nerve racking moment in a FPS/FPA?

Bioshock killing one of the little sisters. Jesus Christ I felt so horrible I had turn the system off for awhile. What kind of assholes does such a thing? I acted like a real Austrian :/.

No FPS ever made care so much about any decision like this one. Best FPS ever.

Its really hard to choice one:

The first 5 minutes of bioshock. I mean, after the plaine crashes the your head goes off the watter, i thought that it was still part of the cinematic, but then i realize than i could move, and it was like "ooo, must be the most real water and best graphics ever". Then you go to into the city and the enviroment the "no gods or kings. Only men" it was just incredeble.

Something similar the first time i played Halo. It was like my first big game in my new xbox back in 2002 and the graphics were so awesome.

In COD 4, the sniper mission, Its like the most beautiful mission i have ever played in a FPS.

Indeed one of the greatest moments in gaming history.

Anything to do with CoD4, when the game first released.

Best single player in the series (Sniper mission!) and multiplayer unmatched by anything since. CoD4 clan matches, being the last guy alive on your team against an entire team... Deciding round on hardcore Search and Destroy.

Getting the win for your team, feeling that sense of accomplishment. Its brilliant.

Im gonna add Minecraft onto this too. Its played in First Person... Whenever you complete something youve put hard work into!

All the game nearly perfect, its actually my favorit FPS.

ME3 gold match, everyone died. I was the last one, it was wave 9, was playing infiltrator on firebase dagger vs geth. Literally had 5 primes on my ass. edge of my seat, prime gets me in a buttcheek when I peer around the corner and dodge back. Depressing times.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

The sniper mission in Call of Duty 4 was superb. The first time you play it, having to sneak past enemy lines and face off dogs near the end. Then when you finally take the shot, running away with a crippled comrade. Best single player mission in any call of duty.

Half-Life 2- Can't remember the exact level, but fighting through the ruins of City 17 , trying to make it to this government building with Striders outside. Then when you finally get to the roof, having to take out a gunship. Eventually you end up back on ground level and have to take out a load of Striders again! Brilliant stuff!

The first time I played Deus Ex there were a lot of moments of trying to sneak past troops, planting traps, trying to find sniping spots. It was the first time I'd played a game of that sort.

I played the demo for that game just after I bought my 360 and that opening scene lead me to run out of the house and buy the game. One of the best games this gen.

I played the intro of CoD MW, i was shocked, played the second mission and it was good, the third not bad and spectacular, i mean, as i was passing missions, the game became more and more dull...maybe the best CoD, but nothing special imo

I played Modern Warfare but I don´t remember this "Sniper Mission"
