*sigh*

I've said it before and I'll say it again; we don't NEED a second analogue nub; and here's why.

Now, can we please stop asking for one please?

no. anyone who has gamed on a sony/ms console (which is pretty much everyone thanks to the ps2) views it as standard for controls.  the z-camera (that's it's name no?) that nintendo employees in their games is just not good enough to play many games (like CoD) where precision and speed are key gameplay elements.

OT - do we have a size compare gif for vita to the 3DS XL?  that thing looks huge (and i know vita is on the boarder of too big) so i'm curious how those directly compare.

Looking forward to 3DSXL and NSMB2 launch week. Should be bananas.

Well, I shall continue to wait. Not that I planned to get one anyway, but, a second analog stick, or thumb pad, or whatever it has would have been ideal. Without that, I wouldn't consider it.. Could have sworn they would have added that with the newest model, but, I guess I was wrong.

I had given up hope for a 3ds redesign this year but alas, it is coming!!!!

As great as this looks, fuck Nintendo for bringing it out so soon, and fuck them even more for stopping production of Aqua Blue 3DS's... I'd have bought an XL if they made an Aqua Blue one. Actually, no I wouldn't, because I'd have to wait for them to make a bigger circle pad pro too because this doesn't have a second analogue! ... again, fuck you Nintendo!

The release is similar to that of the ds lite. I was surprised that they went for a 3ds xl and not a 3ds lite and I was even more surprised they didn't mention it at e3. I gave up hope.

Dang I'd prefer a 3DS lite

Frankly, I feel a little miffed but I have been to this rodeo before.

Given I don't think that one will fit in my pockets, I think I will stick with my current one. The idea of sending over my ambassador games saves to another device sounds laborious as will eventually paying to get the same system back with a bigger screen and potential screen issues. But there is also the little part in my head that thinks they are timing this so that the device will be out in time to announce some cool 3DS linkage with Wii U that works better with a larger screen(s). What a bother.

Huh, I wish I would have went to sleep instead of looking online at my feeds so my mind wouldn't be racing.

It's actually very easy to do and doesn't take long. I did it when I changed from my launch aqua blue 3ds to my gundam red 3ds. All my ambassador games (and everything else) transferred very easily.

In case anybody wanted a size comparison between the new 3DS LL/XL and other machines you can see it here. The 3DS XL looks about the same size as the DSi XL, but with larger screens.

Well they did fix one of the annoyances that some had, it looks like they changed the Start, Select and Home buttons to actual individual buttons and not the "bubble" buttons they have on the old one. (Refer to the picture link in the post above.) EDIT: actually this is a better pic.

I'm not buying one until the white one is available in America.
