Forums - Sony - Dear Sony, How to make PSN better when PS4 launches

How about making it not crash every two seconds? That would be better.

I'd like cross game chat, but, that would require more ram, and i think the developer should have the option of disabling cross game chat if they want to, to take full advantage of the system.

I understand your take on headsets, and everyone having headsets doesn't bother me, but when I game I don't want to be talking to people, I just don't.

I'll have to go and mute everybody, annoying task. Hope there's an option to mute voice chat and that's it, no incoming noise contamination.

You want ads??? Wtf is wrong with you lol? Have you seen how big the ads are on the 360s dashboard? We dont need no ads. They should revamp the PS Store to something thats more interactive, some sort of bigger covers

Ads for games........ so games sell more and devs get the money they deserve

headsets are the bane of online gaming IMO,

PS: PSeye is a fully capable microphone. headset free chatting ftw?

If you have just a microphone open to the room, it's far more susceptible to other noise in the room - in particular, the television/sound system that is likely closer than the user. Just ask a PC gamer how many times they have to tell someone just using a microphone to put on their headset.

Good point, I guess it just shows how often I use voicechat

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

With regards to cross game chat, are people so incapable of being alone that they can't play their games without someone to talk to? I can understand wanting to play with people in the same game, e.g multiplayer but not playing with someone else playing a different game.

Well, I'm assuming you don't have a 360, or don't have friends online. Cross game chat for most people isn't about carrying on conversations while playing seperate games. You log online, and see a pack of friends on. It's annoying to send out a text message to everyone asking to play a game, or a bunch of invites and waiting to see if people join. But that's a problem for the past, or PSN users. On Xbox, I log on, and invite a handful of friends to my party. Then, we're just talking. I'm at the home screen since i just logged on, a couple friends are playing a SP game, and a friend is  wrapping up a Mass Effect 3 Match. "You guys wanna play a match?" "Sure." The peopel that don't want to drop out, those that stick in my party can join my game. Because the party is formed outside the game, 1 button will invite the entire, already formed party to the game. Live parties w/cross game chat makes it like walking into a room of friend and saying "who wants to play?". And then you and your friends can contineu to chat while they finish up their various matches/levels and join your game. It makes it like you have your friends in the room with you.

I have friends online, both "friends" I've never met and friends I know in real life. But I have no desire to speak to them every second I sign on, nor do I feel a need to comment on their games unless it's absolutely necessary (e.g, is game X good?)

I guess it's because I prefer single player games over Multi so I tend not to ask for "matchups" but hey, it seems I'm in the minority these days with that mentality.

Most of this is already covered, havent played a vita yet have you? And adds? Really, lol.

Everything you guys are talking about (except home and magic game download) already exists on Vita. Sony would have to take a step backwards to not have these features for PS4. I also think the Orbis needs a form of NEAR.
