U mean 121k?

Pardon the typo. @all others. Ditto.

Many people I know get PS3s & then get 2nd hand games (these won't be shown in the software sales data)

At this point in the consoles lifecycle many great games can be had for cheap by doing this.

It's a sad reality.

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

What a weird question. How do we know what those guys are playing? Go ask Sony.

"Sales of the PS3 are highest in Europe, but the hardware sales don't match with the SW sales data:"

Do you think the weekly PS3 sales are driven by the softwares released in that particular week? If so then a big lmao. Software sales outsell hardware by almost 1 to 10.

Damn, I knew I forgot an option in the poll. I'm actually one such person, for all my consoles. I rarely buy games new (can't afford it).

Weird hey, to ask a question on video game sales in a video game sales forum? Your mind must be blown.

First you say arguments can't be constructed on the subject by saying "Go ask Sony", next you bring up a counterpoint.

If you can't say anything smart, just get out and let those who actually have something to say speak.

Just to point out again with the new PS Plus deal and lots of new discounts in the EU store, people might be going digital

@those who answered "New Core Customers" in the poll, can you explain to me how we have core PS3 gamers emerging this late in the gen? You'd think that Core being "hobbyist" by definition, that they would buy the console much sooner.

What is your reasoning behind this, I'm interested. Because to me, these games appeal to people who already own a PS3.

Learn to analyze the sales. I already explained softwares sales on PS3 last week were 10 times bigger then hardware. Before asking questions learn how to use the site. You go now and count wich game sold how much and then show us your results instead a blank thread asking us what people play on PS3.

used games market. buy a console with a game bundled or so and buy uncharted 2, god of war 3 or something like move with games on ebay.

you can downlaod many games as well nowadays. i wouldn't do that but who knows how many download a game which they could get cheaper on retail? maybe many nowadays.

With the X360 selling below 90k and the Wii selling less than 60k. The PS3 selling just over 120k in a week is a good late push towards the end of the console wars finishing line.
