Non-Americans know a lot more about America than Americans know about non-America.

1776, that would be the year that independence was declared. But I'm betting you've never heard of 1788 with relation to Australia.

What's Australia?

What's 1788?

It's worth the risk. Fire when ready.

I know you intended it as a joke, but here's a bit of a test for you. Which of these statements is true, and which are false?

1. Australia has a population of approximately 8 million people.

2. Australia is approximately 3/4 the size of the United States.

3. AC/DC are a world-famous Australian band.

4. Sydney is the capital city of Australia.

5. Australia has a female head of state, female prime minister, and female governor-general.

6. Australia's national anthem can be sung to the tune of the theme song of Gilligan's Island.

1. False. Closer to 25 million, I think.

2. True.

3. Struth!

4. False. Canberra.

5. Maybe true. I only know of Julia Gillard, and besides, I can't tell the difference between male and female Australians.

6. No idea!

Wow. So perhaps this does give credence to white people(or more specifically Germans) having superior genes?
