The "core" gamer was not satisfied nor has any reason to bother with the Wiiu. As a Nintendo fan, I was not appeased either. In fact the general consensus was that the conference sucked. Seeing as you have a pikmin avatar i understand why you might be excited, but you are in the minority.

No, I've actually talked to several Nintendo Fans on here and they said after the took a breath or a break from posting they noticed that they were overreactiong for no. Nintendo's Conference was good/alright until the end.

Yes. And since then, we've lost half of THQ, Hudson, Midway, Eidos, 38 Studios, and various developers. Meanwhile, companies like EA and Sony have been losing money for a while, and the only sucess stories you hear about nowadays come from indie devs and the Activision Blizzard empire.

Don't forget japanese games on development hell (The Last Guardian) and eternal developments (FFXIIIVersus).
