I missed every bit of E3 except the last thirty minutes of the M$ presentation and the last thirty minutes of Nintendo's conference. I assume TLoU was too awesome to be real. True?

Yes.  I'm not the biggest Playstation Fan and I thought it was THE game of E3 for me.  If the gameplay is truly dynamic (I never thought it was scripted but I'ld have to play to see how differently enemies can react to you) then it is definetly a day one.

Goddam!  Looks great (two inch by two inch display on my laptop, though).  Really brutal like Max Payne.  I like it.  Not sure exactly what type of game it is or why everybody in the building had to die.  Seems like the guy we play as may have started all of that trouble!  Looks way more open than Uncharted so that's a good thing.  I don't see why people would say it was scripted, though.  I've seen stuff like that "He's got a gun!" comment in games like Batman Arkham City.

Either way, great game and a first day purchase!

the demo was pre determined and scripted to act on player specific scenarios

does that not apply to any e3 games presentation?

I was thinking, what if there was a "hardcore" mode that took off the HUD? That would be so insane.

There shouldn't be a HUD in the normal/standard mode. When a player sees hes out of ammo, he wouldn't want to pull the triger and let the enemies know hes out. Without HUD, player would have to keep track of his bullets and can sometimes get carried away and accidentally reveal his lack of ammo to the thugs - this gives the game a very real survival feel

I think the hud should tell how many bullets you have. In real life, you can check how many bullets you have. No reason for the game to be harder than real life.

You should be able to check how many bullets you have, but not be able see them on your screen anytime during the whole game. Also, you can check the bullets in clips for handguns, revolvers and sniper rifles, but how on earth do you check that in machine gun magazines and shotguns  (IRL)?

first handgun dont have clips, they have magazines. second most machine guns are also magazine fed, but those that arent are usually fed by a linked belt, so you can easily see that. for shotguns you can just open up the chamber to see if you have any shells in it.

what's difference between a clip and a magazine?

why do you bother posting these shallow one-liners when you know A.) you haven't done any research and don't know what you're talking about and B.) you know you'll ignore any replies that prove you wrong.

Hes just mad because the game has better graphics then Crysis 2 (console)

Maybe it was allready said....but if it wasnt scripted then why wasnt there any button mashing when you had the guy in the choke hold. Not engaging gameplay if that epic choke hold you give the guy didnt require you maintaining it.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Just noticed something I hadnt noticed before.

In your inventory, you actually craft the items. You dont just get the molotov, you need the damn materials to make it.

to some extent *every* game is scripted/some actions are predictable because *no*console, even no pc, can use a full artificial intelligence - done. so who cares to what extent last of us is scripted? what counts is that obviously there is some variety so people think the ai is intelligent - nothing more counts.
