You mean like, DS/Wii(Crystal Chronicles Echoes of Time, Pokemon Battle Revolution) or Gamecube/GBA(Zelda4 Swords, original Cyrstal Chronicles, WInd Waker, Pokemon Battle Colliseum), or N64/GB(Pokemon Battle Stadium). I hope you're not going that route.

But that is not copying

Isn't that interface kind of like the one used by the DSi and 3DS though... in fact, Vita's looks just like the Wii's channel set up only with circles intead of Square. The Wii U intro looks just like the Mii creation channel.

As for the second part. Both of those are copying Twitter, Foursquare and various smart phone HUDs. That interface predates Vita by quite a bit. I would rather Sony and Nintendo use something more original on that end.
