Hopefully it gets banned.
We don't need more Call of Duty and Halo Zombies.
People will buy a PS3 instead and support AWESOME Games like the Uncharted Series...Games that really would deserve 10-20 Million sold units.
Only the USA is so stubborn and still is happy with the 2 same games every year.
In Europe other games dominate and even defeat Call of Duty.

Many people I know with a PS3 generally only play COD and FIFA, and this is very common. (from the uk) The problem isn't contained within the US.

So if this happens, the 360 is screwed, what the hell would Microsoft do? All I can think of is they'll be forced to move into the next generation to stay relevant. Microsoft will need to make sure Sony and Nintendo don't take advantage of their departure from gamings biggest market. If this happens, what do you think it'll do to the Xbox brand and what will Microsoft do about it?

Not really. Consumers have plenty of options like the PS3 and Wii. I'm sure a sales ban would only be temporary.
It would be a huge opportunity for Sony though. If the 360 does get banned(even for 1 week) Sony should ramp up advertising for the PS3.
Lol as though Microsoft will ever allow is to happen. Absolutely no chance of a ban.

PS3 is a great alternative to the XBox 360. They share many of the same games so a sales ban on 360 wouldn't really affect software sales much(if at all).
There are also alternatives to Windows 7 such as Linux and iOS(or whatever that Apple Macbook uses).

Something is happening. Either a sales ban or Microsoft pays up those royalty fees.

I wish it would too. Not because it would hurt MS, but because it might finally get America to reform its patent system and do away with all patent trolls. They get patents for the most basic/general ideas, a lot of the time without any proof that they are actually working with the tech (and even more times the patent ends in nothing produced), just so they can hinder rival companies products and collect undeserved royalties. Not only does it stifle innovation, but it also keeps the control in big corporations hands, instead of protecting small businesses who may be working on new or improved tech.

The PS3 isn't an alternative at all when most of your friends game on the 360, that's the power of the 360 brand in the US, Live is a huge seller. People wouldn't automatically start buying PS3's and software sales would likely plummit.
Good luck getting the average consumer to switch to iOS or Linux, sorry but they just aren't alternatives for anyone but those people who are very computer literate. I'll conceed that iOS is fairly user friendly but that's relying on ALL your hardware being compatible which would be a minefield for people unfamiliar with iOS.
OT - This would likely beneifit nobody and actually potentially cause a crash in the videogame industry (at least in the US). Think of all the software stuck out there that firms would struggle to shift if this did happen, I seriously doubt anyone in the industry would want this to occur. It just will not happen.
Lol at comments, sad people are sad. But I remember some comments from people when Sony and LG had the same issues.
