Pretty sure they locked him  in the basement after Castlevania: Judgment.  It's probably not a bad thing, either, maybe Lords of Shadow didn't feel like a Castlevania game, but atleast it wasn't recycling sprites from a Turbo Duo game and mechanics from a PS1 game - and failing to be anywhere near as good as either source game.  The Sorrow games are such rehashes of Symphony of the Night, and then of each other, and Portraits of Ruin was the first Castlevania game (from NES to DS) that I just stopped playing.  I'll give him credit for Ecclesia, though.

I'm the exact opposite. I'll gladly play SOTN rehashes from now until doomsday, but Ecclesia just didn't do it for me.

I personally never considered LoS a Castlevania... it always felt like a God of War... i like much more Lament of Innocent on the ps2 for the 3d castlevania

Instead of Castlevania it should be called Van Hellsing: Lords of Shadows, it was a good game but it did not fit with the franchise very well. At least we know they can make good games, but instead of Kojima team helping them it should be Iga team doing it.

I enjoyed very much the DS Castlevania games and the GBA's Castelvania games, they were really enjoyable and I can't wait until this game comes out (if it does). I hope they will make great use of the 3D of the console.

I do not know why some of you Nintendo fans have not bought a 3DS yet. So now this is the game that will finally get you all to buy one? What about the other gems that have already come out?

Not all the fans will just blindly buy something because it says Ninty on it, maybe just maybe some people are not interested with the current library. Crazy, i know.

OT. LoS wasnt a bad game at all, it was a hell of alot better than that Judgement crap or even that PSN/LIVE game. Ill most likely pass, because none of the Metroidvanias have been as good as SoTN and id rather just save money and play that over again. Ecceslisia was interesting.  And i dont know what to think of the LoS team working on it, but who knows maybe they could do something that would be actually different instead of just chasing SoTN's shadow. IMHO.  I wouldnt mind if we have another game like the true old school Castlevanias

No you have to come at me with a game that wasn't made seventeen years ago

The other Igavanias don't count

They were also made seventeen years ago

There's a reason they kept making them. There's also a reason why Konami locked Igarashi in a closet after OOE, and now that I think about it, it was clearly the right decision. I hope they never let him touch Castlevania again and force him to keep making Kinect games instead until he commits public sudoku.

So is it really true that Iga is locked in a closet writing Castlevania fan fictions?

Why don't you make like a tree and get out of here?

i hope its sprite made, Shinobi was disappointing...
