I do not know why some of you Nintendo fans have not bought a 3DS yet. So now this is the game that will finally get you all to buy one? What about the other gems that have already come out?

For me to buy a new piece of hardware requires 3 games that I want to play and a reasonable price. In the case of the 3DS, my games are:

- Kid Icarus (already out)

- Fire Emblem (released only in Japan at the moment)

- Paper Mario (without release date)

But if this Castlevania gets confirmed I will add it to my list of games.

They co-developed Lords of Shadow. What could possibly go wrong?

I thought LoS got good reviews?

I personally never considered LoS a Castlevania... it always felt like a God of War... i like much more Lament of Innocent on the ps2 for the 3d castlevania

Pretty much confirmed now:

Konami registers Castlevania: Mirror of Fate domains
May 21st, 2012 Posted in 3DS, News, Posted by Valay | No Comments »

The new 3DS Castlevania game doesn’t appear to be subtitled Mirror of Faith. Instead, it sounds like it’ll be called “Mirror of Fate”.

Konami has registered a couple of domain names relating to the title, making it seem as though an announcement is inevitable. Both CastleVania-MirrorOfFate.com and CastleVania-MirrorOfFate.net were picked up by Konami earlier this year.

The company is expected to make the game official late next week during its pre-E3 show. Konami hasn’t made an official announcement about the event, though it should be taking place on May 31.

Now hoping it's good! But good chances, since it's 2D.

I haven't played that many castlevania games, but I'd check this one out.

I am so excited..All the 2d castlevania games on the ds were amazing

I hope this is true. I need my Metroidvania fix... assuming this is another great 2D game a la Symphony of the Night.

Yeah, pretty much. Will keep an eye out for this, but I'm skeptical. Where the hell is Igarashi?!

Pretty sure they locked him  in the basement after Castlevania: Judgment.  It's probably not a bad thing, either, maybe Lords of Shadow didn't feel like a Castlevania game, but atleast it wasn't recycling sprites from a Turbo Duo game and mechanics from a PS1 game - and failing to be anywhere near as good as either source game.  The Sorrow games are such rehashes of Symphony of the Night, and then of each other, and Portraits of Ruin was the first Castlevania game (from NES to DS) that I just stopped playing.  I'll give him credit for Ecclesia, though.
