The + and - buttons moved too, into a more useful position.

What's that little square below the d-pad for?

A guy from gaf states that is the NFC sensor. No word about the one next to the power button.

Huh. and for some reason, I was thinking that there were two of those so the controler could see the distance of things from it. Like your face or a Wii Mote. But that makes more sence. I thought it was weird that they would put the NFC sensor behind the screen.

Well, aparently if they use the screen as was shown in the leaked video, it would suffer a lot of damage. The thing is, if they are going to show that video, how are they going to make people use it the right way.

The new placement of the + and - buttons is much better. And real analogue sticks are welcomed. I hope they're clickable too though. Developers should have no problem developing games for Wii U and the other consoles.

Maybe it's a strong sensor that will still detect things placed on the screen.

@ Those that have worries about the new controller. The first version of the controller looked bulky and uncomfortable yet those who were lucky enough to try it said that it was very comfortable.

Why don't we wait until E3 were those who tried, and liked, the first version will try the new one? This way we'll know if the changes are for the better or worst.

Please excuse my bad English.

But I want to complain NOW!

But placing things on the screen, will end up damaging it.

I like the new layout for the controller. It will be rather intresstsing to play with the sticks, higher up, which I have never done. I do hope that the D-Pad will be very comfortotable to play with, unlike the uncomfortable D-Pad of the 3DS.

3DS Friend Code: 4553 - 9954 - 4854. Name - David

I think we could safely de-rumor this, given that the leaker got fired.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I can't wait for E3 to confirm this final design, and I REALLY can't wait to get to demo this controller. If Ninty is smart they will roll this thing out to Gamestop and friends this summer with some demos so that people can get a grasp on how to play. Color me excited!
