Steam is a good example for PSN, I hope PSN grows out to be more like Steam.

This. Steam is the example of what an online gaming system should be.

Yeah, they need to start selling games digital downloads for £10 first.

You don't go on PSN or PSN Plus much, do you? <-------

He meant sub 10

If that's the case, the original statement still applies.

Exactly

Sorry, i meant this statement

good stuff. my internet is pretty fast so not a huge deal to me but i've got a friend who's download speed is like 1/100th mine and it takes him like 10 hours / Gb. He'll appreciate this for sure.

good idea... but they need to sort out their bandwidth or whatever else it is that makes downloading from PSN so effin' slow. I downloaded LBP2 the other day... took forever!! So much slower than both Ninty and MS, cant for the life of me see why.

Mine is relatively fast, 1gb takes about 10-20mins depending on the day regardless, I rarely notice as I'm doing other things whilst it downloads

This will be good for Vita. Hopefully they implement it for every game on that system. And give you access to retail pre order bonuses (I'm looking at you Gravity Daze)

It isn't the slowest thing in the world, but when I had an Xbox360 I always remembered the downloads going incredibly quick, especially when compared to my PS3 download speeds. Then on top of that you have to wait for an install.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

How much is LBP2 and how big is it (gb)? had no idea it was on PSN, thanks!

I downloaded the just over 1GB demo of Spec Ops in just under 10 mins, I'm ok with the speeds but Steam still blows it away in that regard.

think it was about 5GB... I had £15 that had been in my wallet for months so I added a few quid and downloaded LBP2.

Thanks, tempted.

I meant retail games.

I've been in this boat recently, downloads go at snail pace. It was a lot faster when I had my PS Plus subscription.

Not a bad idea, but can't say that I find the PSN offerings that good compared to most retail titles, and for those that are available on both, I will take the retail version just to fill you my shelves!

As for download speeds, they can be absolutely terrible, sometimes with movies I have had to cancel and try again to get a decent pace, and I have 100mb internet from Virgin Media

O cool feature. But now I can't have crumpets and tea while I wait for game to download.

This is the begining of the end for crumpets and tea. Damn you predownloads, DAMN YOU!
