If what you say was true then how come all the Japanese games that come out are rarely in the top 20 considering Japnese people buy Japnese games. How come all hanhelds are not thrivinving in this booming Japanese Economy or why isn't Sony wiping the floor with MS worldwide if this market was so important and PS3 alwasys outsells Xbox it's because they don't matter anymore.

Without the Japanese market the PS3 would be behind the Xbox by 10 million rather than the 3.5 million japan is Sonys strongest market share wise, and if you didn't already know the 3DS is now the fastest selling system ever.

Without question, any Japanese developer that was probably even thinking of starting a Vita project the last 4 months has been scared off. 

The longer the Vita continues to slump like this the more it will bite Sony in the ass 1-2 years down the line as decisions for games coming out then have to be made now. 

3DS has done great the last 6-8 months in Japan. Expect a lot more software announcements for it.

I think Fire Emblem will reach 500k LTD with enough promotions and on-going DLC support, which has been pretty good lately. These numbers include the bundles right?

For comparison's sake:

3DS' lowest number was 3,928. This was the week before the price cut. Nearly 6 months are release.

Poor week indeed. The 3DS goes down to the "acceptable" level. The other ones have really weak sales.

And for futher comparison's sake(sorry for the multiple posts, I can't edit on this computer):

The 3DS price cut was effective August 11th and we were informed about it on July 28.

The sales before that were 16,165; week ending July 31st, before was 32,200; week ending July 24th.

Europe which BTW is 50 countries barely totals more revenue than 1 country Japan.
