Great for him. He could have made his move on this back in '09 or '10. I don't know why he didn't. This really just sounds like shilling for votes...

Most likely out of concern for alienating voters.

It's awesome that he's come out and said it though.

Huh? Back in 2009, and 2010, he would have already been in office, and would have had a Dem controlled house and senate. Unless I'm just not understanding what you are saying.

I did not see this coming.

Unfortunately, this can cost him the election. We have some marriage-hating people in our country.

Ack! You took the words out of my mouth!

What percentage of these folk would be voting for him in 2012?

Statistically, voters like this.

(A group of Baptists celebrating the passage of Amendment 1. This pic was everywhere last night, til it was deemed racist and replaced by a white guy :p)

Was bound to happen when even his cheerleaders in the media started mocking his ridiculous "I'm opposed but my stance is evolving" line of the past three years.

What a disingenuous scumbag.

Apparently dads aren't making their sons dig ditches or cracking their wrists enough, cracking down on it, and slugging them:

Not my words, nor what i would agree with on that, but apparently this fits into the fray also, on this issue.  Yes, there are some who believe sexual orientation is a lifestyle and something that represents a whole, person, rather than just the part of their being connected with those who they are sexually attracted to.

That is some of the most bigoted, stereo-typical, outside ************* I have ever listened to, from the kind of person who coined the term 'fairy' to describe gay men. Disgusting.

EDIT: Just to be clear I mean the video, not the user's text.

Just two days after he said he WASN'T for gay marriage.

Yeah, but did you see the media having a field day with Jay Carney? Obama pretty much had no choice.
