That's why if your using the console sans TV it would display the main TV screen in the controller. Anyways this is all guesswork, Nintendo will show us soon enough what they have decided to do.

Everybodys surely heard that Peter Moulnouxoue (or whatever his last name is!) will comment the conferences on Spike TV - my question is: will this be done live? While Reggie and Iwata is standing on the stage and explaining things? cuz that ain't what I wanna hear! I don't wanna hear Peter melounoixix trash talking nintendo and WiiU while I watch the show...

The comments will probably be post-conference, I would hope... the last thing I want to hear during the actual conference is Molyexenuwex's drunk ass, lol.

Also, that could pertain only to Microsoft's conference anyway; last year Spike had exclusivity to Microsoft's while G4 showed Nintendo's and Sony's.
