That may be true, but more popular doesn't mean better.

The best movies ever are either underrated or unknown by many.

Batman Begins is one of the best comic-book movies ever, and it did not have Joker.Nolan's vision of Batman is one of the best things that has ever happened to this industry, and it's still happening. It's the present, unlike some 30 years old movie that has been seriously overrated in the past decades.

TDK redefined the comic-book genre..it raised the bar heavily,so don't talk about it like it's some ordinary movie that did good just because of  one character.

Last time I checked TDK had a better IMDB rating with almost 670.000 votes ( over 200.000 more than A New Hope )

and if IMDB had existed when ANH launched... its all about perspective and when the movie launches. TDK has the current new audience and its current popularity is based on that. Its a very good movie and Nolan's vision of Batman is by far the best their is.

But, it won't be like SW in the long run capable of moving from generation to generation... long lasting. Just like the original Superman, it will be remembered as a good movie and best or one of the best depiction of its core characters.

I am really looking forward to DKR as well as redo of spidey. But, if there was a new SW (7/8/9) series launching... it would be the more than just the next big summer movie.

Why do you keep talking like you know the future? Just looking at this thread and IMDB you'd know that TDK has a LOT of fans, and TDKR will be the most hyped movie of the year. It's the fans who decide what lasts, not the people who think Avengers >TDK

I'm willing to bet you right now TDKR does not out do Avengers.

and I do know the future, hence all my "i was right all along" threads. :P

See what? That SW won't win? I knew it was a very high possibility. There's no way I could guarantee it a win. I'm glad it came in 2nd, especially knowing that at least two people knew it was my favorite for the last couple of days. But that's mostly thanks to all the others who kept up voting it which I was no part of as Darth was the only player I directly talked about up voting SW with. He's the only one I let know my intentions.

Please quit playing that SW coming in 2nd was some sort of victory for you two.

LOLOLOLOL!!!

Theshape voted earlier but I didnt count his vote because he only had 55 posts, and ever since then he has been posting in a pile of threads to get to 100 so he could vote, but he's too late...

Priceless.

I will create a thread called "Superchunk was never right" when MS do not announce 720 for a 2012 release.

Won't have to.

1) 720 will be announced

2) I will likely be wrong in my bet with Jay tho. But I only gave that a 60/40 best chance when I made the bet. He knows that.

Eitherway, I will make my own "I am actually wrong" thread after E3 if such a case comes up. I'm not afraid to eat crow. Thank fully it so rarely happens. :P

We from what I heard. You almost won your bet, as MS had planned on releasing the Next Xbox this year. But they pushed it back since sales on the Kinect and 360 are still doing pretty well.
